Summer Rain Storms

We took it really easy this morning and were in pajamas until after 10. It was a necessary break from the busy, early mornings that we've had lately. I made Tenley's favorite breakfast (german pancakes) and then the kids played legos together for a few hours.
After we finally got ready for the day we packed a lunch and headed to the park. Thursdays are becoming one of my favorite days of the week for this reason. Picnics at the park are the best! The kids made some new friends too. Kade had decided to bring some balls and a bat along so when some boys his age showed up they asked to play with him. The weather was cloudy and we ended up getting rained on a little bit, but the kids still played outside and Luke and I just waited it out in the car. It was such a great afternoon.
