The Air Force Base in town had an air show today and we were actually able to go on base to see it. They don't normally allow civilians on base so it was pretty cool! The air show was awesome although Ryder did not like the loud noises from the fake bombs. He cried and was begging to go home. I ended up walking the stroller a lot to try and Luke to go to sleep, but Ryder was the one who ended up falling asleep with his fingers still plugging his ears!
The show ended up getting rained out eventually so we missed some of the cool things, but we still had a great time!
I had the kids take a bath before bed and Kade was downstairs for an unusually long time. Brad went to check on him and found him writing about the day on a piece of paper that he eventually hung on his board. He must get his need to journal from me! Lol.

Fort Benton
Kade got to go golfing this morning with Brad and his friends. Kade says his favorite sport is golf and he always loves to go with Brad. They tried a new course and enjoyed it. There were a lot of deer on the course.
Tenley and Ryder exercised with me this morning. I absolutely love it when they'll do a workout video with me. Watching Ryder doing jumping jacks is the cutest thing ever. He is such a funny boy. And his push ups are legit! He's a pretty tough kid!
When the boys got home we went for a family outing to Fort Benton. It's a small town just an hour away right on the Missouri river. It's really cute and we had fun exploring.
We came back home to eat Cafe Rio while we caught up on all the football games from today. We had a blast watching the BYU game! We couldn't believe they won!

Ryder is my little buddy when we pick up Cafe Rio. He downed two glasses of horchata while we waited.

Reading
Every night I ask the kids what their favorite part of the day was. Kade usually says that his favorite part of the day is school unless, like today, he got to have friends over after school. And Tenley's favorite part is usually her reading lesson. Apparently my kids like learning!
I love having a reading lesson with Tenley too! She has been easy to teach. She's a quick learner and she always tries her hardest. She has made so much progress and I'm so proud of her!

November
I love the month of November! I love the fall, Thanksgiving, lots of days off school, and celebrating mine and Brad's anniversary. I also really love the tradition we started a few years ago of a thankful tree. Instead of taping construction paper to the wall this year, we have a little tree to hang our notes on. I like that it has become our table centerpiece so we can see it all the time. Today Kade was grateful for food and school and Tenley was grateful for electronics and toys.
And I'm pretty sure Ryder is thankful for suckers.

Lunch Recess
Lunch recess was my favorite today because I got to play on the playground. And I played sharks and minnows with Tanner, Bracken, Cameron, C.J., Silas, and Canyon.

Valentine's Day Parties, The Winter Olympics
Today we got to go to a Valentine's Day party at our friends house. The kids were excited to get their Valentines ready and they had fun decorating their own bags at the party. It was a lot of fun!
We've been having a lot of fun watching the winter Olympics. Kade loves the speed skiers, ice skating, and the snowboard half-pipe. He tried to re-in-act the sweet snowboard moves tonight on the couch. It was adorable! I'm excited to see more ice skating! That has always been my favorite. I grew up loving Oksana Baiul. My parents even took me to watch her skate one time! It was a dream for me.
Kade's Favorite Part of the Day: Going to the Valentine's Party at Heather's house. (He loves Heather!)

School Cancelations
Another big storm has hit us so Brad's school is canceled for tomorrow! That makes me so happy. We love sleeping in and having a warm breakfast with Brad.
Since we knew the storm was coming the kids and I took advantage of the dry roads and went to the Children's Museum today. It has been a long time since we were last there and luckily not very many people were there today. We had a blast!
Kade's favorite part of the day: Playing with Dad (like always!)

The Past Week and a Half
The kids and I have been loving having Brad all to ourselves this past week and a half! Every night this past week Kade's favorite thing has been playing with Dada.
It was nice that our long break was lengthened by a few days due to the storm. None of us are looking forward to Brad going back to school again. We've really enjoyed being lazy together :)
But life can't go on like that forever...
So, on to cleaning the house, getting dressed before noon, eating healthier, being more productive with our time, working toward goals, and getting out of the house once in a while. Sadly those areas have been totally lacking for awhile.
But it was such a nice break.

The Superhero Game
Kade is obsessed with superheroes right now. He loves to watch the cartoon Spider-Man, Iron Man, Transformers, Batman, Avengers, or Superman on Netflix. He loves to dress up like the characters, and whenever we're at the library he always wants to take a comic book home. Instead of reading Dr. Seuss at night we've been reading comic books!
I didn't think he'd be in to superheroes and comic books this early but I guess he isn't a baby anymore!
His favorite game to play with Brad is the Superhero game. Kade will start out as Batman and fly to attack Brad with his batman knives and then Brad will become Thor and hammer Kade and then Kade turns into the Hulk and smashes Brad and then Brad turns into Wolverine and scratches Kade with his claws and then Kade turns into Superman and gets Brad with his red eyes and then Brad turns into Iron Man and shoots at Kade and then Kade turns into Darth Vader and gets Brad with his light saber and then Brad turns into Optimus Prime and gets Kade with his knife and they keep going back and forth. It is hilarious to watch and Kade loves it so much.
I love this creative stage in life that he's going through right now!
