We have officially been in our home for one whole year now and Brad has been at his very own practice for a year now as well. I can't believe it has been a year already! Brad had a lunch meeting with his staff and one of them brought him a cake to celebrate his first year. He brought the rest home and we all had some tonight to celebrate. It's been a great year in his business and an even better year in our very own home. We really are so happy here in Montana. We love his staff, we love his patients, we love our neighbors, we love our ward, and we love beautiful Montana.
Getting to this point was hard. It took a lot of searching and a whole lot of patience. There were days in the thick of it all that I wondered if it would ever work out for us (because I can be dramatic like that at times). It can be so hard to keep your perspective and look forward to the future when you're going through a hard time or when you know you're not where you're supposed to be and there's a lot of work required to get to where you want to be. It's so hard to know that there will be a day when your hard work will pay off and you'll be where you can only now dream to be. Looking back at the hard road that got us to this happy time has taught me that consistent, daily, hard work and perseverance will always bring about good results in time. We just have to be patient and keep doing what we know we should be doing. The blessings come!
On Sunday Elder Stevenson talked a lot about how our good actions bring blessings and blessings bring us JOY! Bad actions bring us no blessings and no blessings make us miserable. So do good things! The blessings will come, even though they may be slow at times, they will come! And as they come your life will be filled with more and more JOY.
