Pinewood Derby

 Today started out better for Ryder and Luke. They seemed a little more alive than they have been. They even took time to put together their KiwiCo boxes and Luke was smiling! But not too long after finishing his project Luke went to the couch and fell asleep. He is just so exhausted! Ryder had enough energy to go to his Pinewood Derby tonight. He had a lot of fun racing his car against his friends but he was also very tired. One of these days we’re all going to be healthy again!

Relief Society Activities

 We had a Relief Society activity tonight and it was a lot of fun! It was nice to get together with other moms and friends for dinner. I feel like I’m constantly running my kids around and don’t have a lot of time to just talk to other moms who are running around doing the same thing so it was nice to slow down tonight and just hang out!

Dessert Night, BYU Basketball

 Our ward had a dessert/Family History night tonight. It was fun to eat yummy treats and see who I’m related to. Brad and I are actually 9th cousins! Which is maybe too close 😆. The kids had fun running around with their friends! 

Then we came home to watch the BYU basketball game. They’ve had a great week! We’ve enjoyed watching them win! 

Youth Night

Kade really enjoyed youth night tonight. The had a ‘Chopped’ competition where they had to make a dessert out of the ingredients they were given. Although Kade’s face looks disappointed, his team actually won! 

Kade’s Soccer Games

Kade had two great soccer games in Helena today. His team won both and no one from the other team even shot on Kade when he was at the goal. Since his position was so boring the coach let him play forward for a little bit and Kade scored a goal! It was pretty exciting! 

I actually had to miss the games because we had a big Super Saturday activity for Relief Society. I had a lot of fun with the women in our ward but I was definitely missing the family! 

Luckily we all got to be together for dinner. We had oven fired pizza and chocolate fondue for dessert. The fondue was leftover from the activity and the kids loved it!

Cade and Calli

We got to celebrate Cade and Calli today and enjoy their beautiful wedding and reception! We got there early to help set up but they had it all done and it looked beautiful. It was a beautiful ceremony followed by a delicious dinner and a fun reception. I loved their first dance together as a married couple and the daddy daughter with Calli and Jason was super special. My kids were troopers and helped clean up which was nice. I’m so glad we were able to be here for the special day! 

Brad and Kade had a great day at home. They went on the youth temple trip to Billings with 33 youth! It was a great turnout.

Hikes

It doesn’t seem right to be grateful for a hike that I didn’t even get to go on, but it does make me happy that Brad and Kade were able to enjoy a fun hike today to Tower Rock. It was a beautiful night and they had a lot of fun. Kade is lucky to have his dad in young men’s with him.

After I put the little boys to bed, Tenley and I enjoyed hanging out and watching HGTV. 

Mutual

Kade was able to go to a church activity tonight at the church with other youth! It’s been a really long time since our church has done that and Kade was excited to be old enough to go. They played a jeopardy game and he said he had fun. Brad is one of his leaders so they got to go together. 

As much as I loved going to youth activities on Wednesday night I also love staying home with the kids. We got in our pjs, Tenley made some cookie dough balls for dessert, and we watch a few of the shows they like. We had fun too.
