Sunshine

 It was such a beautiful day today! 60 degrees, no wind, and the sun shined all day long. We walked to the park and even Luke played a little bit. He’s still making progress! It was so nice to be outside and feel the sun. Brad and Kade were able to go fishing on the Missouri today. They caught over 50 fish between the two of them. They had a great day! 

This afternoon I got to play volleyball against Tenley and her teammates with the other parents. We had a blast. Such great people! 

Fishing

 We headed up near Augusta today to take the kids fishing. It was windy but still such a beautiful day! Brad even caught a few fish. Luke had the best time using his sling shot again. Then we took a long detour up near the mountains. It was so pretty and I think we definitely need to come back to camp someday. We saw a raccoon and a giant moose! It was a fun adventure.

After School Snacks

Ryder added mint Oreos, double stuff Oreos, and birthday cake Oreos to my shopping list so Luke and I headed to the store and actually bought all those Oreos! Luke requested chocolate milk as well. Then we picked up the kids from school and went home to enjoy our Oreos and chocolate milk. The kids would love to make this an after school snack tradition! 

Brad had a great day fishing on the Missouri with his brother Bryan. The fishing was good! We went out to Roadhouse Diner for dinner and Bryan braved the windowmaker burger. Luckily he’s still breathing just fine. 

Uncle Chad

Chad came up to visit so Brad could take him on a fly fishing trip today. The weather was nice and sunny today, great day to go fishing! So last minute on Wednesday Brad called and asked Chad if he wanted to come fishing with him. Chad made it work and came. They had fun on the river today and caught a lot of fish.

The kids and I had fun while they were gone as well. We met friends a the trampoline park and then picked up McDonald’s for lunch. At the trampoline park Kade and Tenley were able to race up the rock wall. They got three tries and by the third try Tenley was able to almost beat Kade. I love her fierceness! 

At home, Tenley walked the dog with me and after that I was able to take Kade to his basketball game. When we got home the kids had a pizza party and Brad and I took Chad out to Roadhouse Diner for dinner. We wanted to take the kids as well, but new Covid rules won’t allow more than six people to a table at a restaurant. It’s a bummer. But I did try the PB & J burger finally and it was pretty delicious.

We spent the rest of the night watching Chad play VR and hearing Luke say “uncle Chad!” over and over and over again. It’s always fun to get a visitor!

Dinner on the Dock

Day 48

Brad was supposed to go on a guided fishing trip today, but he heard last night that it was cancelled. So, instead, we all went fishing! We tried a new place, Widow Coulee, but we weren’t having any luck so we tried Wadsworth Pond that is closer to town. As we pulled up the family using the dock were leaving some took their spot. They warned us that they didn’t have any luck all day. We did eventually get a few bites but no fish were ever caught. Apparently all the fish are practicing social distancing as well! It was a bummer. We stayed as late as possible and I even went and picked up dinner so we could eat in the dock, but no such luck. Hopefully next time!
