Indoor Soccer

 Kade came home from school after lunch to go hunting with Brad. It was windy so they never had a good shot, but they enjoyed time together hiking around.

Ryder and Luke had indoor soccer games tonight and Tenley had a birthday party to get to in the middle of them. It was crazy doing it all solo but it worked out and the kids had fun. It was fun to watch Ry and Luke play! They have fun playing sports and being with friends. 

Youth Hunt

 Brad took Kade out hunting for a deer today. The youth always get a few days to hunt before adults are able to and it’s fall break for him so it worked out well. Unfortunately he wasn’t able to take down a deer. He got a few shots at one though and they had quite the adventure. Luckily they made it home safely!

Since Kade is on fall break the rest of us decided to take a break from school as well! The kids slept in and I made them crepes for breakfast. Ryder had football practice tonight and Luke had a game at the exact same time. I was so grateful to have Tenley here to help me out! The weather has turned and gotten much colder but at least we haven’t had any snow yet!

Luke’s Snuggles

It was a crazy long day. Poor Ryder threw up all night last night.We've had friends dealing with this sickness and I guess it has hit us. Maybe by some miracle no one else will get it! Tenley was sweet enough to take care of Ryder and Luke all day because Kade was working on the farm and Brad and I were at the church for four hours for a funeral. I helped with the food and he conducted the meeting. It was a good funeral for Ted Robbins who lived a long and full life. He was a good man and he raised a great family. 

Kade and his friend Nathan found some deer nearby the farm while they were working and decided to do some hunting. I pulled up to pick up Kade and found them loading the deer on to a truck bed. Boys are funny. 

Kade and Tenley both got to go to a fireside tonight and then Kade got to stay for a dance. They had a great time. And while they were gone my sweet baby fell asleep on me. I’m so glad he’s still willing to do that. I love Luke’s snuggles! He really needs to stop growing up!

Basketball Season and Best Dental Practice in Montana!

I’m so excited that basketball season has started! It is my favorite. Ryder had his first game tonight and he hustled really hard. He is a really great defender. His team won by a lot. I’m looking forward to watching more games!

Brad took Kade out hunting for a few hours this afternoon. They saw some deer and even a moose but they didn’t shoot anything. Kade is hopeful he’ll get another deer this year.

Brad’s hygienist Melissa discovered that Brad’s office was voted the best in Montana for 2023! We have no idea how that is even voted on but I definitely think it is well deserved! He has such great staff and he really tries to treat his patients like family. It was exciting news!

Hunting

Brad’s brother Jared arrived late last night so he could go out hunting with Brad and Kade. They actually found success this year! Kade shot his first buck. He was so excited! We even had some of the meat tonight and it was good. 

The rest of enjoyed this beautiful fall day at the park. 

Tenley

Brad and Kade went hunting again today. Still no luck but they say they’re having fun.

Ryder had a birthday party this morning at Kaboom which he loved. I brought Tenley and Luke with me so they could play while Ryder was at his party. But when we showed up one of Tenley’s friends from school was also having a birthday party there but Tenley hadn’t been invited. It was awkward and I told Tenley we could leave and do something else but she chose to stay. It definitely hurt her feelings but she kept her chin up and played with her friends. I was proud of the way she reacted to a hard situation.

After Brad and Kade got home from hunting, Brad and I were able to go out for a quick date to dinner. It was nice to catch up with him. 

Parties at Home

It was cold this morning but Luke has been begging to go to the park all week and since he’s finally feeling better we decided to go. The wind made it feel much colder but we still enjoyed being outside.

Brad and Kade went hunting this morning but came back with nothing. Honestly I’m ok with that. Im not sure what we’d do with a dead animal anyway!

Kade also had a birthday party tonight for his friend Aiden. While he was gone the other kids and I had popcorn and watched a movie. We always try and have a party at home when someone else leaves for a party. Lol.
