Gift Baskets

The kids had their annual church activity tonight to deliver gift baskets to the older/maybe lonely people in our ward. I love this activity and I loved hearing their stories when they got home. They all had great visits with the people they went to see but my favorite was Kade’s story about visiting Kevin Hall. He’s an older man who was baptized a few years ago but he has loved Jesus all of his life. He’s recently been dealing with health problems so we haven’t seen him at church as much although he did come to be our Santa at the ward party. And he was the best Santa because he reminded each of my children that Christ is the reason we celebrate Christmas. 

Anyway he opened the door to see all the youth with the basket and he wept. He kept calling them angels and saying, “God bless you!” It was so sweet to hear. Service is the best part of this Christmas season!

Church Activities

Kade and Tenley got to play with their favorite friends the Bullards all morning at their house. They always come back with fun adventure stories about going out to the tree house and playing with the dogs and chickens. They love it there. 

They both had really fun church activities tonight too. Tenley got to have a movie night and Kade played hide and seek tag in a big warehouse. He was so dirty when I went to pick him up. They both had such a fun day.

Legos and Soccer Drills

It felt like a normal summer day today! The kids slept in and after piano lessons they played legos most of the day together. They’ve been building a major lego city downstairs. I had time to read a book on the trampoline which was so nice. Ryder joined me outside to practice his soccer skills. It was cute to watch him set up the cones all by himself.

There was definitely more fighting today which happens when we’re together so much, but it was still nice to have an easy going day.

Kade and Tenley had a mega swim party tonight for their mutual activity and they had so much fun!

Youth Night

Kade really enjoyed youth night tonight. The had a ‘Chopped’ competition where they had to make a dessert out of the ingredients they were given. Although Kade’s face looks disappointed, his team actually won! 

Murder Mystery Dinners

Tenley helped plan and lead a murder mystery dinner for her church activity tonight. She’s been so excited about it. Her friend came over tonight to help her make cookies and sandwiches. She said it went well and she had a fun time!

Mornings at the Park

The weather was really nice this morning. Well, nice for Great Falls in February at least. Luke and I met my friend at the river after school drop for a walk. After she left Luke played at the park. We had the place to ourselves. I’m already loving this weather, but I better be prepared for a snowstorm. I’m sure we’ll have another one.

For Tenley’s church activity tonight they heart attacked the Bishop’s door, aka her dads! She loved it.

Mutual

Kade had a fun activity tonight for young men’s. They all combined with the other ward and met at the skating rink. Kade had a blast. He really enjoys the activities and I’m grateful they’re going on.

Ryder had football practice tonight. He’s making so many friends and having so much fun.
