Tenley’s Drawings

 Tenley has started a new tradition with the little boys that she might end up regretting soon. Each night when they go to bed she leaves a drawing of an animal for each of them. She's going through the alphabet and was on 'D' tonight. Ryder got a dog and Luke got a dodo bird. She missed a day last week and the boys were so sad about. They love to find out what animal she drew for them!

Lunch with Friends

I had some super sweet friends take me out to lunch today for my birthday. It was such a great afternoon! I really apprecited it! The kids are all still drawing like crazy! Luke really loves it. He's planning on taking his binder of drawings to show and tell at co op tomorrow!

Coloring

I bought a big box of new markers last month and Luke has been using them so much. Every morning after he wakes up he heads straight for the markers! I love seeing his new creations. Yesterday he drew mountains with a lake and him in a cave. Today he wanted to color a picture with a castle and a knight. I wonder what he’ll want to color tomorrow!

Luke and Kade both had soccer games tonight. The weather was nice so we enjoyed being out there to cheer them on. 

Tenley’s Trophies

The kids slept in late today! Tenley was the winner waking up after noon. Hopefully we somehow get back to our normal schedule soon. 

A few weeks before our trip Tenley made trophies at her art class to give to us all after our trip. She announced the winners today. Luke got the best hiker, Ryder got the best swimmer, Kade got the best snorkler, Brad got the best boogie boarder, and I got the best attitude. It was really cute and really sweet of her!

Art

For Kade’s church activity tonight they went to learn how to draw from Tenley’s art teacher. They had a lot of fun! Their creations were pretty funny!

The Reflections Contest

I got to help judge the reflections contest today at the kids’ elementary school. It was so fun to see all the amazing and creative projects from the kids! They are amazing and inspiring!

The Reflections Contest

In high school I submitted an original song to the annual Reflections contest and took first place at my high school (out of two people, but still…lol). So when I saw the kids bring home the Reflections flier I encouraged them all to enter. Tenley was the only one that decided to. She created a beautiful piece of art and received an honorable mention! Her artwork is now on display in her school. I was so proud of her!

Tenley’s Thoughtfulness

After school today Tenley went to her room to do art. She made everyone a 3D art project. For me she chose to do sheet music from one of my Christmas songs. It was so sweet and thoughtful of her!

Ice Cream

When we were in Glacier over the weekend and the ice cream shop was closed we were pretty sad so we took the kids out for ice cream tonight. It definitely doesn’t compare to the Glacier ice cream shop but the kids were happy!

Tenley’s Art Collection

Tenley art collection is growing quickly! I don’t think we’ll have enough wall space in our whole house to hold all of her paintings. I’m glad she has found something she enjoys though!
