It was so good to be here for Junior’s wedding! I loved seeing my family, catching up with extended family, eating yummy food, enjoying beautiful Utah, and helping my sister out with what I could. I think I love weddings so much because they bring family together for such a happy b occasion.
Joey and Destiny had a beautiful wedding ceremony in the mountains today. Bryan, the father of the groom and Brad’s oldest brother has a beautiful cabin in Cascade on a lake. It was a gorgeous setting for the ceremony with dinner and dancing. The kids loved running around with their cousins, trying different mocktails, and blowing bubbles. The food was delicious! Fresh smoked brisket, bread, pasta, and salad. We loved visiting more with family.
We drove up the canyon with the Murdocks and of course had to stop at In n Out Burger on the way. Boise is crowded! There was a long line to get food but it was worth it. Before we headed to Bryan’s cabin we stopped at Judy’s cabin. Luke has never been there and we wanted to show Ryder where he took his first steps! Right on Judy’s porch. I don’t think we’ve been back since Ryder was a toddler.
It’s been such a good trip! Beside our car battery dying. Luckily Brad had put portable jumper cables in my car a while ago so they saved the day several times. And we’ve been missing Kade who stayed with good friends so he could play in his high school soccer game. We’re ready to get back home with him!
We spent nine hours in the car today to drive to Boise for our nephew Joey’s wedding. And to be with family. It’s been four years since we were last here. Luke doesn’t even remember ever being here to Judy’s house. But we’re so glad we made the trip to be here with family! It was a long drive but catching up with everyone has already made it worth it. We did have to leave Kade home for soccer though. We’ve never done that before and we are missing him. But he’s with his good friend so I know he’s having a blast!
