Dad's Buddies

We started out this very hot day with a bike ride. We tried to get out early enough to beat the heat, but it was still over 80 degrees while we were riding. I still loved it though. We went on the two major hills that I haven't done since I was pregnant with Luke. At 39 weeks I was huffin and puffin up those hills. Brad and Kade had to wait for me for several minutes at the top before I made it. I was just proud of myself for not walking!
But today it was so nice to see how much stronger I've gotten! I kept up with the boys easily and on the second hill I even passed them both! (I may have felt like I had something to prove...) Brad was pulling an extra 100 plus pounds with the stroller and three kids though so I didn't feel that cool passing him. He is tough.
I'm just so grateful that I'm starting to feel more like me and that I have the energy to do these fun things again. It's a relief.

Brad worked on projects when we got home and his little buddy Ryder followed him around and helped when he could. It was adorable. Ryder loves to help us work. He's always there when I'm cleaning or cooking. I hope that's an attribute he keeps for a long time. He felt important going to Home Depot with Brad and helping to fix the sprinklers. They stayed up late, but they got it done!
