Ryder was pretty grumpy all day. He cries a lot and I'm beginning to think something's wrong. Maybe he's getting sick or getting teeth or something. I hope it passes soon. It's definitely helping me learn how to cope with difficult children better. And I have a lot to learn! Kade's lesson for family night was about shining our light and following the example of Jesus. He asked us all to write down one or two ways we can be more like Jesus and be a light to the world. I think that the best way for me to do that is to be a light at home for my husband and children. I want to have a happy positive attitude for them no matter what crazy or difficult situations come our way. I'm sure I'll learn this lesson the hard way several times but I'm grateful I get to keep trying!

Trying
Ryder did not sleep well at all last night, so neither did I. I'm really trying to enjoy this stage in life with little kids like everyone who's grown out of it has told me to, but it's challenging. Ryder and I were up early laying on the couch when Kade came and joined us. It worked out well because he hadn't done his homework yet since we were so busy all weekend. I always enjoy some alone time with Kade, though, since he's gone so much during the day at school.
