The First Snow

It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas! We woke up to a beautiful blanket of snow outside which is a rare thing for our town. The kids were excited and so was I! It makes it feel so much more like Christmas when there is snow on the ground.
When Kade got home from school all the kids got in their snow clothes and went to play outside. Ryder loves following the older two around and doing whatever they're doing. He loved being out in the snow.
Tonight we started a new tradition of opening up Christmas pajamas. I found some cute matching ones for all three of them (thank you Target) and they were really excited about them! Even Ryder couldn't wait to put them on. And we've been loving our tradition of opening a Christmas book every day in December until Christmas. They got lucky today and opened up a brand new one, How The Grinch Stole Christmas. Normally they would have had Brad read it since he does cool voices, but he was at scouts so they settled for me. Kade said we should wrap it up again so they can open it when Dad is here to read. Silly kids!
