General Conference

This weekend we were able to watch General Conference together as a family. I really enjoy conference weekend. It is so exciting to hear from our Prophet and Apostles. Their words are always so inspiring and comforting. I know our Prophet speaks to the Lord and receives revelation for our time and I'm so grateful for that. I'm so very grateful to be apart of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
It was a little bit harder than it has been in the past to pay attention, though. Our two little ones were wild and loud! They kept wanting to have blanket fights on the couch. It seemed as if they were on a sugar high or something! Once Tenley went down for a nap today it did calm down and Kade played Conference Bingo with us. He loved it so it made it a lot more fun for everyone.
We ate a lot of good food today. Our friends have a fun tradition each Conference Sunday to have people over for Belgium waffles. It was super yummy and fun! Then Brad made us the yummiest dinner tonight. He grilled steak and chicken shish kabobs. It was so good!
I was also able to video chat with my whole family at my parents house and meet my cute soon-to-be sister-in-law for the first time. I miss them all! I can't wait to see them in a few months for the wedding.
