Sugar Cookies, Classic Books

The kids were helping me make sugar cookies tonight for Kade's school Christmas party tomorrow when, as my Dad would say, there was an incident. We had just put our first batch in the oven and the kids were stepping back up onto their stools to cut more cookies when Tenley slipped off the stool which landed on my foot and the poor girl hit her teeth on the counter on the way down. Brad came running into the kitchen to find us both on the ground and Tenley's mouth full of blood. Her only remaining front tooth is now loose and she'll probably lose it soon and she has a fat lip. I feel so bad for her. She is definitely accident prone. But she felt good enough 10 minutes later to eat a sugar cookie!

Kade unwrapped a brand new book tonight that I bought for them. Where the Wild Things Are was one of my favorite books as a kid and it was so fun to read it with them!
