Volunteering

On most Friday's I get to go to school with Kade and volunteer in his classroom. I love being there with him, giving him extra help to learn more, and getting to know the other kids in his class. There are some sweet kids in his class and my heart goes out to some of the kids that come from less than ideal situations. It really is rewarding to sit and give those children attention when they probably don't get much at home.

Today was an especially fun day at school. The school has been having a food drive for the food bank all month and this morning we filled a school bus with all the food that had been collected. Then there was a little assembly and Kade's class led the school in singing some Christmas carols. At the end of the day we had a Christmas party in his class. Games, snacks, sugar cookies, and more. It was a lot of fun. It was a thumbs up kind of day!
