Luke hasn’t advanced very well with his speech. It’s been kind of sad to look back and see how many words my other kids were speaking at his age and to know he isn’t. I know I shouldn’t compare him to the others, but I’m trying to figure out if I should be concerned or not yet. He definitely does a great job of communicating, he just does it by pointing and grunting.
We‘ve been repeating a lot of words to him lately to try and teach him. Tenley goes through her list of mama, dada, uh-oh, and go and he’ll repeat them all with her. He did say thank you once and he can also say diaper. But today Kade and Ryder taught him to say ‘poo-poo.’ The boys thought it was hilarious. Their laughing made him laugh so he’d keep repeating it to get them to laugh again. Maybe we should start laughing at everything he says.
