Homemade Popcorn

The power went out at Brad’s office this afternoon. There was a power surge by his office and he lost power for two hours along with hundreds of other homes and businesses. The power surge fried his firewall and they couldn’t get the network back up and running. It was a disaster and he stayed until 9 tonight getting it fixed. But luckily it’s back up and running for work tomorrow. He still headed to the church afterwards for a meeting. Since he had missed dinner Kade decided to make him his favorite dinner of all; homemade popcorn. Haha. Brad was appreciative and it was delicious.

Luke and I went to the store yesterday to get him shoes with laces so he could start tying his shoes. He’s already getting pretty good at it! But the sweetest thing about our outing together was our conversation. It was just Luke and me so I asked him about how life is going for him. I asked him what his favorite part about his life is and he thought about it for several seconds and then said, “Ryder. I really love Ryder.” I hadn’t expected him to say that! I guess I thought he’d talk about his favorite thing to do or his favorite toy, but instead he thought of his favorite person. What a sweetheart!
