Tenley came with me to a retirement home today. I played the piano and she sat and handed out pictures that she had colored. We’ve played at several different retirement homes in the city, but this was our first time at this one. It wasn’t organized like the others have been. We were in an empty room while the residents were eating lunch next door. It felt odd just starting to play and disrupting there lunch next door. Several came by and thanked me for being there though and then Tenley would hand them some of her artwork that she had made for them. I hope we made someone’s day a little brighter.
Afterward she and I went out for ice cream. It was a great afternoon with my girl!
