We’ve been doing a book countdown to Christmas for several years now so I have accumulated a lot of Christmas books! As I sat down last night to wrap 24 books I decided to do things a little bit differently this year. They’re all under the tree, but unwrapped. This way they can be read any time AND the child who is picking the book can choose what they want to read instead of being disappointed by unwrapping a book they don’t really care for. I hope it works out well.
Ryder was pretty excited to see the books under the tree when he woke up. We also had some fresh snow on the ground so he figured it must actually be Christmas already! He wanted to look in his stocking until I told him it wasn’t Christmas quite yet. We did read a few books that he found under the tree though which was great.
