Disconnecting

Our internet went out last night and we discovered this morning that it is down for the entire region. A third party carrier's fiber optic network was damaged and they have no idea when it will be fixed. It's been really strange to not have connection to the internet and kind of sad to realize how much we rely on it and use it. I haven't been able to tell Alexa what to add to my grocery list, nor have I been able to listen to our music with our echo device. The kids aren't able to watch their shows. We aren't on social media at all, no emails, no news, etc. Honestly it's kind of freeing. This afternoon the kids went and played with friends at their house and then found ways to keep themselves busy at home. Tenley colored a bunch of pictures for her door to make it fun for Halloween and Kade and Ryder played together. I loved that they didn't complain too much about the inability to play computer games or watch T.V.

All ready for picture day!

Our bike ride this morning was so beautiful with the sunshine and fall colors. This view of the boys is pretty great too.
