Babies, Christmas Movies

Tenley stayed home from school again today because she just isn't quite 100% yet. Ryder loved having a buddy with him and she got to tag a long to my Dr. appointment with us to check on our growing little baby! I have yet to talk about it on this blog, but I am pregnant! I'm 16 weeks along and we are expecting our baby around May 20th. I have been extremely sick and miserable, but I'm slowing getting over all of that and am so happy to be done with the first trimester. The kids have been so sweet to me as they've witnessed me throw up time and time again. Before we told them a baby was on the way they were wondering what was wrong with me. Kade asked me one morning when I would wake up early to exercise again, as has been my routine for a long time. Tenley wrote me get better soon cards all the time. I let Ryder in on our secret pretty early because I figured he wouldn't talk about it. I've been convinced this baby is a girl because I was only this sick with Tenley so Ryder helped me pick out a fun little nickname for her. We've been calling her baby Lulu.
When we finally did sit the kids down to tell them Kade asked if something was wrong with my heart. I was so grateful that I don't have a serious illness and we were able to share the happy announcement of having a baby! They were all excited. Especially Tenley. She hugs and kisses my belly all the time now and is so hopeful that it's a girl.

For our family nights we've been watching Christmas movies after the lessons and I've been loving it. I really love this time of year. The lights, the spirit of giving, the decorations, and the traditions all make me so happy!
It was Tenley's night tonight and she taught us about the importance of Jesus. She talked about how if Jesus never came to Earth we'd never be baptized, or be resurrected. It was a sweet lesson and her sweet simple testimony of how she knows Jesus loves her at the end was the best.
For her movie, Brad talked her into choosing one of his favorite movies from when he was a kid. It was called Prancer and although I'm normally not a huge fan of watching movies that are more than 20 years old (unless it's The Princess Bride of course!), this movie was adorable! We watched it upstairs with the fireplace on and Brad made us homemade popcorn. I love cuddling with my sweet family and watching movies! It was the perfect family night.

A "new" generation coming our way!
