Ancestors

For family night this week we learned about our ancestors since Pioneer Day is coming up. I was able to dig up a little report I wrote about my Grandma in elementary school and it was really neat to rediscover some neat stories about her life and share them with my kids.

Her parents each left their homes and families in England to travel to Utah to be with the members of the church. Her Dad was 16 when he did that and her mom was just 10 years old! What a great sacrifice that must have been for them and their parents. I am very impressed with them and the desire they had to better their lives and the lives of their descendants no matter the cost. It's a huge inspiration to me. I have pretty awesome ancestors!
