Last night Brad and I got to go out for a fancy dinner downtown with the dental study group that gave him a scholarship. It was nice to get out and celebrate with Brad!
Since it is our 8 year anniversary on the 11th we decided to make a weekend out of it and we stayed at a hotel for the night and went to lunch and a movie today. It was so fun!
My kids were in good hands with my friend Becca. They love her and they had so much fun with her and Jaxson and Landon! When we got home, Kade didn't want to leave them. I asked him if he missed me and he said, "No, I miss Becca." Haha. I'm glad he loves her so much! And I'm grateful Becca was so willing to watch them for the weekend.
I LOVE this last picture! Becca told me that Tenley got sad when it was bed time and she realized I wasn't coming back that night so Kade came up to her and said "Ten, look at me. Look at me. Stop crying and look. I'm right here. I'm sleeping right in the bed behind that wall. I'm right here for you okay?" Then Tenley stopped crying, Becca layed her down, Kade sang her a lullaby, and Tenley went to sleep.
That was the sweetest thing ever to hear! I'm proud of Kade for taking care of his little sister and I'm grateful that Tenley feels protected by Kade and trusts him. I hope their bond only continues to get stronger!
