This past week has been extremely difficult and yet there is still so much to be grateful for!
We've notice a lot of tender mercies and I wanted to share a few of them.
A few hours before Brad received the phone call about his Mother's passing he received an email notifying him that he would be getting a scholarship for being the most improved student in his class! I am so excited for him and so proud of him! We get to go to a nice dinner together where the scholarship will be awarded to him. We are so in need of the money now after the expensive last minute trip out west. It really is such a blessing.
When we purchased our flights to Boise for Friday morning we had no idea that on our layover in Denver we would be able to meet up with Brad's sister Kimber and his brother Kyle and his wife and kids and fly with them the rest of the way to Boise. It was so nice to be with family as soon as possible! And Kade was so excited to be able to run around with Max.
I can't get over how inspired Brad's parent's recent trip out to see us was. Normally when we have family fly out here it is for a big occasion or event, but my in-laws had no real reason to be out in the mid-west. They said they were just coming out to visit. I am beyond grateful for that time we had with them recently. Although my children probably won't be able to really remember June and the amazing grandmother that she was, it was so nice to see them bond together during their trip here. They played often and even created some of their own inside jokes. I'm so devastated that there won't be more of that for them with her.
