My Little Boys

Ryder loves to play with Luke in his crib right after he wakes up. This morning they were giggling like crazy as they played! It’s pretty adorable! Luke loves to point as a way to communicate. I love my little boys!

Brad had a two hour late start to work so the kids were able to see him this morning. It’s good to be back together.

My Fisherman

We made it home just in time for dinner today. The kids did pretty well on the eight hour car ride. Luke was pretty upset for the first half and we noticed when we stopped that he had a dirty diaper. After we cleaned him up and fed him, he fell asleep and was a happy camper the rest of the drive! The kids are really missing Grandma and Grandpa, but they can't wait to see their Dad!
Brad had a blast on his fishing trip. He caught so many fish and kept all that he could. He had a lot of neat experiences as well. I think it was a really good trip for him.

The Hale Center Theater, My Sister's Pool

My Dad took us to see Cinderella at the Hale Center Theater this morning. It was wonderful! We had a lot of fun. Tenley really loved it, Kade liked it, and, well, Ryder may have said it was boring at one point. But he fidgeted his way through it without a huge scene. My Dad reserved snacks for us and took us on a fun tour of the theater as well. It was fun to see some of the things you don’t normally get to see. I think it’s so cool that he helps run shows there.

After the show we went to my sister’s house to swim for the rest of the day. My kids didn’t want to leave. We had a party with them! It was nice to be with them and to play.

Silver Lake and The Museum of Curiosity

Today was another wonderful, but hot, day here in Utah. We started off the day driving up my favorite canyon, Big Cottonwood. I have so many memories in those mountains. I love that canyon so much. We walked around silver lake with the kids and stopped for a picture at the place Brad proposed, or course. My Dad actually hung out with Luke at a picnic bench so I didn’t have to carry him around. They fed the squirrels together. It was beautiful in the mountains!
We had lunch at Chik-Fil-A. It was delicious but so crowded! Then went to the Museum of Curiosity. It was also very crowded there but the kids loved it. They all said it was their favorite part of the day. There was so much to do and see.
Jason and his family came over again tonightto have  pizza with us and before they left the kids watched an episode of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. It may have been a sugar high, but Ryder, Yesul, and Yena were extremely giggly and excited about the show and were so excited to see Mickey Mouse! It made me wish we could drive to Disneyland right away to show them all him in person! They made us all laugh!

Brad finally texted around 9:30 wanting to FaceTime the kids and I. I had already put them to bed but decided to wake up Kade and Tenley so they could see him. He had some crazy stories to share about how he hooked a humpback whale that was bigger than our car, (luckily the line broke before the pole-or my husband!- was swept away) and how he had to reel in his fish quickly before a 6 foot blue shark ate it. He had an exciting day and we’re so happy he’s safe!

Utah

My Dad was so nice and took work off the whole time we’ve been here! We’ve had so much fun spending all day with everyone! We went to the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point this morning. My kids were excited to see their cousins. And they had a blast playing at a cool museum.
We tried a new to us restaurant for lunch because there are so many of those around here that are new to us, and it was good! Tenley and I got to go for a girls shopping trip to the mall. We had fun! But malls, like these real city malls, are so overwhelming to me now.  But we still had fun.
My parent's neighbors were having a popsicle party so we went to that because the kids wanted a popsicle. It’s crazy how hot the weather feels to me! And then we watched the sunset again on the back porch. We can’t get enough of this view!

Visits

We left Idaho Falls this morning to head to my parents house in Utah and we were able to make two really fun and awesome stops on our way. The first was with Kimber, Erika, and Landon. Kimber fed us lunch and the kids played a lot. Then we headed to see Becca, Jax, Ty, Luke, and even Landon! I miss living down the street from her! Even though Marco Polo helps, it was sooo good to see her and talk with her in person!
We made it to my families house for dinner and my mom had a delicious dinner prepared. It’s good to be here! We had a relaxing evening and hopefully we can all catch up on some sleep tonight!

Road Trips

Brad left on his big fishing trip to Canada today so the kids and I drove down to Idaho Falls tonight. We keep heading on to Utah tomorrow but it was nice to split up the long drive and to see the Murdock’s again.
Chad, Lesa, and I went to the temple and out for delicious ice cream. The kids watched movies, ate popcorn, and played kickball while we were gone. We ended up playing a kickball game with them we got back at 10:30. So much fun!

One Year Olds

I love the age from one to two in a lot of ways. They are learning and growing so much and it’s a joy to watch! Luke was playing games with Brad and I tonight. He’d crawl up the stairs, wave goodbye to Brad, and then play peek a boo at the top. He’d giggle the whole time! He is adorable!!

A Garage

We had a severe storm hit today on a not sunny Sunday. Our east side fence looks like someone took a machine gun to it. Quarter+ sized hail and 60+ mph wind.It was a very exciting and expensive 4 minutes. Had we arrived home 1 minute later our car would have been damaged too. After the storm all our neighbors came out to inspect the damage. I'm glad no one was seriously hurt by any flying objects!

Malmstrom Air Force Base

The Air Force Base in town had an air show today and we were actually able to go on base to see it. They don't normally allow civilians on base so it was pretty cool! The air show was awesome although Ryder did not like the loud noises from the fake bombs. He cried and was begging to go home. I ended up walking the stroller a lot to try and Luke to go to sleep, but Ryder was the one who ended up falling asleep with his fingers still plugging his ears!
The show ended up getting rained out eventually so we missed some of the cool things, but we still had a great time!
I had the kids take a bath before bed and Kade was downstairs for an unusually long time. Brad went to check on him and found him writing about the day on a piece of paper that he eventually hung on his board. He must get his need to journal from me! Lol.
