Kade received his patriarchal blessing today. He’s been asking to get his for a while and he made an appointment a few months ago. Today was finally the day. He fasted and prayed and he was ready. Brad and I drove him to Fairfield where our stake patriarch lives and we were able to be there with him for his blessing. It was pretty amazing. The spirit was strong and I left feeling excited for his future and grateful to be his mom.
Brad was in a different ward and a different building today an hour away for church. I admit I was sad when we pulled into our church parking lot and his car wasn’t there. I’m fine and I know we’ll get used to this new calling but I also want to document all the feelings we’ve had. I missed seeing him at church. But it’s fun to learn more about the other wards in our stake. And we still got to enjoy our family time together tonight.
