Kade had his worst asthma attack I’ve ever seen him have today since he was hospitalized for it as a 3 year old. It was not fun to see. He texted me during his gym class and told me to call the school and excuse him because he had extremely bad asthma. He left without a pass and came home barely able to breathe the whole way. I always ask him on a scale of 1 to 10 how bad his breathing is and when he says a 5 I know it’s bad. This was probably a 9. When he walked in the door his face was swollen and red. He was not getting enough oxygen. I quickly got his albuterol and nebulizer and gave him a treatment. Luckily it calmed down and in a few hours he was back to normal. We spent the rest of the afternoon trying to figure out what triggered it and why it was so bad. He was just playing basketball at school. But he had fasted from food and water for a full 24 hours so that may have been it. I’m just hoping it doesn’t happen again. And I’m so grateful he’s back to normal now.
Ryder ran errands with me tonight after his ninja class and we picked up some Thai food for dinner. I love it when I get to have some one on one time with my kids. He’s a fun kid to hang out with!
