We enjoyed another beautiful day in this winter wonderland playing in the snow, watching football, and playing games. The kids’ favorite game is definitely Mafia. It’s nice because everyone can participate. You sit in a big circle and then draw a card. Depending on the card you’re either a commoner, detective, or a member of the mafia. People get voted off and murdered off by the mafia each round until either the detectives or mafia win the game. The mafia members try to lie about the fact that they’re mafia so they don’t get voted off. I was surprised with how well my nieces and nephews and even my own children could lie to my face!
We’re headed home tomorrow and of course my kids don’t want to leave. I think the fact that we’ll be back to the daily grind on Monday is making us all wish we could hide away even longer somehow. It’s been such a nice break.
