This is Kade’s first year having early morning seminary and it’s tough. It’s hard for him to wake up and get going that early in the morning. For the first month he was twenty minutes late every day. And then one day he was on time and he’s been on time ever since then. I wondered what has changed. Brad and I hadn’t said anything to him, he just decided that he didn’t like being late so he made a change. I love seeing that in my kids!
Tenley did the same thing with piano. She wasn’t proud of how she played at her last recital so she’s been much more diligent about practicing the songs coming up for the Christmas concert and she pretty much has them down already!
I’m sure as Ryder and Luke mature they’ll be similar. And I’m also sure there will be things that Brad and I will have to nag all of the kids about. But, still, I have many moments where I’m just so proud of all of them for trying hard to make good choices.
