New Years Eve

It’s been nice to sleep in so much and have so much time with family. Some people left today to go skiing but most of us stayed around the cabin and played games. Brad and I were in charge of making dinner for everyone so we spent most of the evening doing that. We had minestrone soup, white chicken chili, cornbread, bread sticks, and the traditional slush drink. It was yummy.
We had lots of snacks and treats for New Years Eve as well. We played more fun games (ultimate spoons and the name game) and beside Luke we all stayed up until midnight! Ryder was pretty exhausted and asked to go to bed right afterward. He has a blast playing with his older cousins all night long. He seemed to hang out more with his teenage boys cousins than anyone else. It was cute.
It’s sad that we have to leave tomorrow. It’s been great catching up with everyone and being with some of our favorite people in the world!

Family Pictures

We all made it to church this morning and the building was packed! The chapel and gym were filled along with every classroom in the building. I guess it's a hot Christmas break vacation spot!
After church Heidi was nice enough to take some family pictures. We had to get Luke in Brad's tie like we've done for my other kids. It's so cute!
We even got a photo with the whole Hobson family. Beside my two wonderful nieces who are serving missions right now.
We had fun playing games the rest of the day. Heidi brought ultimate spoon which my children LOVE. They had fun running around the cabin with their cousins.

Playing in the Snow

We had a great first whole day at the cabin! I’ve barley seen my three older kids because they’ve been off playing with cousins so much. They’ve been staying up late and sleeping in.
They played in the snow most of the morning. I went out for a second while Luke was napping and Brad took me on a snowmobile ride. It’s beautiful! We just wish there was some more snow.
Kade woke up feeling so much better today. He had his appetite and energy back. Yay! I'm glad the attack is over and he can spend the rest of our time here having fun!

Sweet Tenley

We made it to our family reunion today...ready or not. Kade started having asthma attacks last night and it isn’t getting any better. He’s exhausted, not hungry, and just not himself. Once we arrived at the beautiful cabin to see family he went to his bed to take a nap. I feel awful for him. Tenley tried to comfort him as much as she could on the drive. It was really sweet.
Other than that we’re excited to be here and see everyone! I’m hopeful that Kade will be feeling much better in the morning!

We opened presents tonight and were able to try some delicious cupcakes from the store my niece works at. And we explored the cabin a lot. Santa and Santa in training (aka Travis and Rocky) also made an appearance. All Rocky wanted for Christmas was a Santa outfit like his Dad. It was the most adorable thing to see! He made a fantastic Santa! And none of my kids even cried when they sat on his lap! It's been a fun night!
