The kids all slept in really well today! Except for Luke. He was up and ready to play at 7:30 as normal. He hung out on the floor with toys and played while I rode my spinning bike. He was content and happy the whole 45 minutes! He’s such a good baby in the mornings.
When everyone else did wake up Brad made us breakfast, everyone practiced the piano, and Tenley played with her ukulele.
In the afternoon the kids begged us to take them to the library so they could check out some chapter books. I thought it was neat that they’d want to do that on a Saturday.
When we got home from the library they played outside with some new balls our neighbor had thrown over the fence for them. She was trying to make up for all the balls of ours that her dogs have popped because the kids accidentally kick or throw them over her fence. It was so nice of her.
They definitely had electronic time as well, but not as much as they normally beg for. It was nice to see them play together and do good productive things rather then watch TV.
Brad grilled some steak for me for one of my favorite dinners, steak tacos. Tenley and I made peanut butter chocolate chip cookies, and we ended the night with Brad introducing the kids to his favorite classic TV show, MacGyver.
Today was pretty perfect.
