As I was putting Kade to bed last night and asking him what his favorite part of the day was, I started to feel guilty that the kids haven't been having that fun of a Summer yet. We need to get out and play more! I know I just had a baby, but still. My poor older kids need to have some Summer fun. So Kade and I made a plan for today. A picnic at a new park that he and Tenley haven't been to yet. I was excited.
But the morning ended up being more stressful than I had planned and going to the park didn't seem possible. Luke's feeding schedule set us back and Brad texted and needed us to bring stamps to his office ASAP. I really didn't want to let Kade down though so I had him make sandwiches for everyone while I fed Luke then we ran to Brad's office to drop off the stamps and still had an hour and a half to play at the park before we had to get back home, which was plenty of time. I don't know why I was letting myself stress about it.
We had a great time enjoying the beautiful weather at the park. There are a lot of great parks in the city that we have yet to visit. Kade's goal for the Summer is to go to every one of them. It will be fun!
