Today I've been feeling as though life is all about your legacy. What you do everyday affects not only your future but the future of your children, your family, and your friends. And when you're gone all anyone will have to remember you by is your legacy. I've asked myself a lot today, "What kind of a legacy am I leaving?" Maybe it's kind of a sad thought but as we celebrate my mother in law's birthday today I'm reminded of the amazing legacy she left. She was a great homemaker! I spent the bulk of the day in the kitchen making homemade ice cream, homemade bread, and homemade soup, all things that remind me of her. I spent some time doing family history work, something that she was very passionate about. She was such a good woman and the good life she led made her children, her grandchildren, and everyone who knew her a better person. I feel honored to be a part of her legacy and to have been inspired by her to create a worthwhile legacy of my own.
