Then our neighbor stopped by with huge honey-crisp apples and homemade carmel dip! Honey-crisp apples are my absolute favorite and the carmel dip was an added bonus. It was so good! I had to fight Ryder off because he thought it was super delicious as well! He took one of the huge apples and started eating it himself. He's a cutie!

Honeycrisp Apples and Carmel Dip
Today was a very relaxing Sunday. Kent and Heidi were out of town so we stayed home all day. It was nice to have a nap and cuddle with the kids. Brad taught them how to text us from the IPads so that has been their new favorite thing lately. Kade, Tenley and I sat right next to each other and just texted each other for a while. Kind of silly, but fun!

Saturday Morning Snuggles
It was a rainy morning and Kade's soccer game wasn't until 11:30 so we got to sleep in and make a warm breakfast. I love mornings like this, especially when all the kids pile in bed with us and Brad tickles them all.
Kade's soccer game went well and we didn't get rained on too much. We've been anticipating a big storm, but haven't seen it yet.
The mail made for an exciting afternoon! Tenley got two more birthday presents. Money from Grandpa and Judy and a Doc Mcstuffins dress up from Aunt Tracie. She was really excited about that!
And Brad surprised me with new headphones for my digital piano. They make a huge difference and sound so much better than the ones I had before! I'm really excited about them and so thankful to Brad for thinking of me.

Birthday Gifts
After school Kade was able to spend the rest of the day at his friends house and even have dinner with them! He was really excited. But I was worried that Tenley would get bored without her big brother around all day. And, although there were a few moments of boredom, for the most part her new birthday presents entertained her very well! She has probably drawn over 15 pictures since she got her new art kit. She's also been reading (looking at pictures) her princess book most of the day as well. I'm glad she loves her new gifts!
And Ryder, used me as entertainment today. He loves to tackle!

Girly Birthday Parties
Tenley was invited to her first ever birthday party today. She was so excited! She got to wear a dress up, paint her nails, put make-up on, have a fashion show, and eat cake! I stayed with her and had a lot of fun watching the party. She wasn't quite too sure about all the girly stuff going on at first, but she warmed up to it pretty quickly.
When we got home the boys had started a movie and made popcorn. They had a pretty fun boy party themselves. Ryder cuddled with Brad pretty much the whole time we were gone. He's becoming a daddy's boy just like the other two. :)

Tenley's Birthday
We had so much fun celebrating Tenley today! We love having her in our family. She is so kind, compassionate, creative, funny, happy, helpful, and loving. She turned 5 and we even kept Kade home from school to party with us today. She asked for german pancakes for breakfast and then we met up with Brad, Kent, Heidi, Dale, and Emmett at McDonald's for lunch. Then Kent, Heidi, Dale and Emmett came back to our house later for Tenley's favorite dinner, potato soup and homemade rolls, and birthday cake. It was nice of them to celebrate so much with us as well!
It was nice to see Grandma and Grandpa Woodruff on FaceTime to open presents with and Grandma and Grandpa Hobson as well. She also got a nice phone call from her aunt Lesa and family, texts from Aunt Tracie, and a video message from one of her best friends Jaxson. She is one lucky girl!

Lunch Dates with Tenley
This morning I had to take Tenley and Ryder up to a doctor appointment for their well checks about 40 minutes away. They both did a great job even with getting shots. Ryder didn't cry at all! I couldn't believe it. He was so good for me today and I really appreciated it! They're both getting so big in their own ways and I love them both so much!
After the doctor I took Tenley to do some shopping at the mall and out to lunch. I miss doing those sorts of things with my girlfriends from Indiana, but having a little almost five year old girl of my own to do it with makes it pretty awesome and fun still! She was so happy and couldn't stop talking about how tomorrow (her birthday) is going to be the BEST DAY EVER! I sure hope it is. She deserves it!

Family Pictures, Classic Movies
This morning Brad and I were able to go on a bike ride. It was tough today! The weather was cold and it seemed as though we had a head wind the entire time. But it was still beautiful and I still enjoyed it. When we got home and Brad was unloading the bikes, Ryder found Kade's basketball and wouldn't stop asking to dunk it. He loved it! And he was pretty good at it as well.
This afternoon we were able to get family pictures taken with Aunt Heidi. It's always hard to figure out outfits and get the kids, and Brad, willing to take photos, but I think it worked out well today and I'm excited to see the finished product!
Tonight was Brad's night and he decided to watch The Sandlot for his movie. Neither one of us has seen that movie in a long time and it was really fun to watch it again! I really love that movie. It's pretty hilarious. The kids thought it was pretty intense though, but by the end Kade said it was his new favorite movie!

Sunday Best
Kade finally got some desperately need new church clothes last week and he looked so handsome today! They made him look so big. I can't believe how fast my kids are growing up!
Tenley also had a new dress that her cousin Elly had given her to wear and she looked beautiful as always!

Bike Rides at Sunset
Kade's soccer game was cancelled today so we had a pretty relaxing morning. We even had time to make French toast! It was really good.
After I got ready for the day and came out of my room, I heard Kade and Tenley playing together downstairs and saw Ryder cuddling with Brad and watching football. It was adorable.
The football games were fun and exciting to watch today. When they ended we decided to go for a bike ride even though the sun was about to set. It made for a pretty ride and the fall leaves made it awesome as well!

Trips to Spokane
Today was a really good day. We drove up to Spokane this morning and were able to go shopping at Target! It was nice. I really miss having a Target close by.
Then I got to spend all afternoon talking with my good friend Becca while our kids had a blast playing together. I love our play dates and wish they were more frequent.
Brad went golfing while I was with Becca and then picked us up later to take us out to dinner and then downtown to see the Chinese Lantern Festival. It was really cool!
When we drove back into town, the local high school Football game was still going so we drove by to catch the last few minutes. And I'm glad we did! Our team came back with 8 minutes left down 10 points to then score 2 touchdowns and win the game! It was an exciting ending!

No School Days
Kade doesn't have to go to school today or tomorrow so we got to sleep in and spend pretty much the whole day at home! Kade and Tenley played cars, colored Halloween pictures, jumped on the tramp, colored with chalk, and watched Halloween shows. But the highlight of their day was when their cousins Dale and Emmett came over for dinner and played with them for almost an hour afterward. Ryder was especially in a happy mood playing with Dale. It was adorable!

Newborns
While Kade was away at school today, Tenley, Ryder, and I got to go visit my friend who just had a new baby girl a few months ago.
Tenley and Ryder were both smitten with her! They loved to hold her and cuddle with her. I loved to as well! It was a nice morning.

Decorating
I don't consider myself a good decorator by any means, but my kids sure love to have holiday decor around the house, so I do it for them.
Tenley was very helpful with the decorating this morning and when Kade got home from school he was excited to put spiders and spider webs all over the house. They're sure excited about it and that makes me happy!
We also bought some pumpkins and some yummy pumpkin spice Oreos from the grocery store today per the recommendation of my Dad. They were delicious!
It definitely feels like October now!
