Gift Baskets

The kids had their annual church activity tonight to deliver gift baskets to the older/maybe lonely people in our ward. I love this activity and I loved hearing their stories when they got home. They all had great visits with the people they went to see but my favorite was Kade’s story about visiting Kevin Hall. He’s an older man who was baptized a few years ago but he has loved Jesus all of his life. He’s recently been dealing with health problems so we haven’t seen him at church as much although he did come to be our Santa at the ward party. And he was the best Santa because he reminded each of my children that Christ is the reason we celebrate Christmas. 

Anyway he opened the door to see all the youth with the basket and he wept. He kept calling them angels and saying, “God bless you!” It was so sweet to hear. Service is the best part of this Christmas season!
