General Conference

 Brad and I got to take Kade, Tenley, and Ryder to the afternoon session of General Conference today. It was a beautiful fall day here in Salt Lake. My sister in law Jihye had a parking pass that we could use right next to city creek so we had an easy and fun walk to the conference center. We got there pretty early so we were able to watch the children’s choir practice and the general authorities and other church leaders come in. Elder Holland was the first apostle in his seat. Oh he’s such a sweet man. And then just a few minutes before conference the prophet came in and waved to us all! He wasn’t at any other session today so it was pretty special to have him there. The spirit was strong! We got to hear my favorite apostle Elder Kearon speak and the children’s choir sang an amazing arrangement of Gethsemane. It was so beautiful.

After conference we took the kids out for Thai food which was delicious. Luke spent this whole time with my parents and his cousins. They listened to conference and then played at the park. It was a good day for all of us I think! I’m glad we were able to go!
