After cleaning I took them all to Kaboom to play. The first half hour was great when they played in the bouncy house but then we ventured into the arcade section and it went downhill fast. They have a whole wall of claw machines with every toy and stuffed animal in it that a young child could want. Tenley was set on getting a paw patrol dog for Luke. He wanted it so badly. She used all her points on that game and she actually had the head of the stuffed toy in the claw and dangling for three seconds…and then it fell just before making it to the drop. It was really sad to see her put so much time and money into it. And of course Luke was a crying mess. The arcade room does not bring happiness! I hope I never let them talk me into that again. But thank heaven for Ryder. His award for the end of school was “Most Laid Back.” And that is the truth. He is so easy going. Sometimes so much so that I wonder what he’s really thinking. But in situations like these I need his easy going personality.
Tenley and I did get out just the two of to go shopping and get a manicure. That was fun. And then we picked up Cafe Rio and ate with the boys at home. That was the best part of the day.
Brad and Kade never caught a fish, but the sun did come out today and Kade found a bow and arrow to shoot. They’re having fun.
