It’s crazy to think that what I thought would be a very short and temporary change to our life has lasted a month already with no end in sight. We are adjusting to this new normal though and even enjoying it in many ways. We are definitely still busy as well thanks to the crazy amount of work the teachers have given my kids, all the zoom meetings, and of course the huge renovation of Brad’s office. We finalized our lighting choices today and tomorrow we plan to measure for blinds and paint some of the old furniture.
I caught Kade reading books to Luke today. Luke really loves to be read to and he convinced Kade to read to him today. It was such a sweet moment. The 60 second moment of peace seemed to make up for the 60 minutes of chaos that school was with Luke begging for my attention this morning. Maybe we’ll figure out how to make home school run smoothly by the time they’re ready to go back to public school.
