April Fools Day

Day 18

April Fools Day is a popular holiday here. Brad loves playing tricks on the kids and they love playing tricks on him. The kids woke up to find bows in their hair, their blankets and stuffed animals mixed up with each other, notes on their mirrors and on their toilet paper, toys in their shoes and the shower head covered in tape. The best trick Brad played on them though was with his air compressor. He has his air compressor downstairs where he’s working on building shelves and it’s plugged into a smart plug that he can control from his phone. So when I told him the kids were downstairs, he turned it on. It really scares them! Kade wouldn’t even go near the room! Tenley was brave enough to go and unplug it and stop it for good!
The kids taped Brad’s toilet seat and left toy rats and spiders in our bed covers.

What wasn’t a laughing matter, though, was Luke’s fever. Right around lunch time he started acting really lethargic and was getting a fever. He’s been the same all day. I can only assume it’s all from teething. Poor little guy! Kade was such a huge help with him. He cuddled him and read him books while I made dinner.
