Family

The funeral was wonderful this morning. I loved hearing Brad's uncle's life sketch and the countless memories from his children, in-laws, and grandchildren. We asked our kids afterward what they learned from the funeral and Kade said, "That Jeff was really funny and that we'll all be resurrected." Those are perfect things to take away from it!
Losing a loved one is hard, but when you get your perspective straight and remember why we're here on Earth in the first place and where we're all headed and that we will all be together again, it helps ease some of the pain.
It was a whirlwind of a morning. We didn't have a lot of time to spend talking with family because we had to start our 10 hour drive to get back home. But we made it safe and sound and we're so happy that we took the time to go to Utah, see my family, and be at Jeff's funeral.
