Halloween

The kids were so excited for Halloween! And I was so happy that Tenley finally decided to wear her Princess Leia costume! She looked adorable! We took our kids trick or treating door to door for the first time this year and they loved it! It was a lot of fun seeing them run around the neighborhood in their costumes with their cousins. We would have spent more time walking around, but it was 39 degrees and 30 mph winds! It was freezing!! But the sun was out and we had a great time!

The best part was coming back to Kimber's house for some hot chocolate, hot cider, warm potato cheese soup, and homemade bread. It was the best Halloween yet!

Candy Factories, Chicago

After a long month of studying, Brad took a few days off so we could spend the weekend with some of our family in Chicago. It will be a much needed break! On the drive up we stopped at the Albanese Candy factory to taste test some delicious candy! It was fun, but the kids were more excited to see their cousins! 

They are already having a blast with their cousins and Kade and Max haven't stopped wrestling!

Play-Doh

My kids got some new play-doh in their halloween treat buckets from the trunk or treat at our church last week. They have been having fun playing with it and Kade especially has been very creative on what he makes out of it. I love that he will come up with objects on his own to create without asking me for help. It's so neat to see where his imagination will take him!

Parties, Movie Nights

Brad is done with all of his written board tests! Wahoo!!! I am so relieved for him, but I know he won't be completely relieved until he get the results in the mail saying he passed. But I know he will! I'm so proud of him for working so hard and I'm so grateful the crazy, crazy study weeks have come to an end. We were really able to enjoy family night together tonight. We had pizza and all cuddled and watched a new movie, Planes Fire and Rescue. It was super cute! We all really like it. It was a great night!

Brown County, Trunk or Treat

Brad had the day off and with little studying needing to be done we got to spend the day together! It was amazing to get out and do something as a family all day! We went to Brown County to go hiking and see the pretty fall leaves. It was such a beautiful fall day! The weather was perfect, the hike was great, we all had a great time! 

Tonight was our church trunk or treat and the kids have been looking forward to it for a long time. I almost had Tenley convinced to wear her Princess Leia costume, but she chose a power ranger costume instead. That girl! They both looked cute, though, and got way too much candy!

Friends, Macaroni and Cheese, Sweet Words from Tenley, Brad

We got to have a few friends over today and my kids had a blast! At one point they all wanted to draw on the chalkboard at the same time so it was a little tricky figuring that out but I think I finally made them all happy. And thank heavens for mac and cheese! In just a little amount of time I was able to get them all fed.

Tenley helped me walk Kade to his friends house and on the way home I told her how much I loved going for walks with her. She said, "Ya you'd miss me if I wasn't here."

And I said, "Yep! Because you're my favorite!" 

She giggled then said, " Dada is my favorite!" 

Oh man, that girl! She makes me laugh!

We celebrated Brad being done with his National board test tonight with a special dinner at home. It was yummy! He doesn't have patients tomorrow either so we'll hopefully get out and do something fun. He found out today that he passed the 1st part of his clinical boards which is great news! He's getting closer and closer to becoming a dentist! I'm so proud of him and all his hard work!

Art Projects, Daddy

Brad finished the first day of his written board exams today. The kids were excited to welcome him home with some pictures they painted and hung on the wall. Once he was home they didn't want to leave him alone! They were constantly cuddling and hugging him. It was sweet!

School

I think I've mentioned it before, but I love having school with my kids! They are both improving and learning so much in their own ways. Kade is doing well at reading and writing and is working on counting to 200. Tenley is working on counting to 50 and is a very good artist! She does a great job tracing my letters and shapes. I love watching them progress!

Birthday Cake, Cuddle-bugs

Today was Kade and Tenley's friends birthday. They had fun celebrating with him and having yummy cake! 

My cute kids are so much fun and such good cuddle-rs!
