Hugs, 4 Leaf Clovers

I caught the kids playing the piano and giving each other hugs today. That makes me so happy!

The kids and I took Brad to our favorite picnic spot for dinner and we challenged ourselves to find a four leaf clover. I was the lucky winner! I guess this means we'll have a lucky year now!

Kade LOVES to play hide n seek and he found his new favorite spot to hide; a mailbox!
He is so silly!

New Friends, Sunsets

I had a really great night going to visit my new friend Elizabeth with another one of my friends. She was so welcoming and gave us a tour of her house and introduced us to all her hobbies. She is awesome and I'm glad I got to know her a little bit more tonight!
It was a beautiful night and on the way home I saw this Sunset. It was so pretty!

Orangutans

Our zoo has been working on a new orangutan exhibit for a long time and it finally opened up last week. The kids were excited to check it out, although when we walked in the building Kade thought it was way too stinky. Tenley was brave enough to get close to the glass and an orangutan came right up to her and then she got a little scared. It was fun to check it out and spend the day with my kids!

Downtown Indy, Jackson

We had a lot of fun exploring downtown with Dad and Judy. I really do love Indianapolis for a lot of reasons and am so glad that we've been able to have the chance to live here and do such fun things and meet such awesome people!

Kade had to say goodbye to another good friend today, Jackson. It was fun watching these kids grow up together. We will miss him and his family!

Memorial Day, Indianapolis Temple, Paddle Boats

It was great to celebrate Memorial Day with Dad and Judy, but also weird not to visit any graves of our loved ones. Luckily many people went to visit the graves of Mom Hobson, Aunt Trudy, and my Grandma and Grandpa Feveryear. Memorial Day is always a special day to remember them all and their wonderful legacy that they have left for us.

We finally made the drive up to the temple site for the Indianapolis Temple. It looks pretty amazing so far and I really, REALLY, hope that it is finished before we leave so we can take our kids to the open house.

I've had a few things on my list of things to do in Indy that we still have yet to do! Today I got to cross one off! We got to drive the paddle boats in the canal and it was just as awesome and fun as I thought it would be. Thanks to Brad for doing most of the hard paddling, the rest of us enjoyed a nice leisurely ride! Except for when Brad had to turn us into the fountain and get us all wet!! He would...

The Indy 500, Good Samaritans

Kade, Brad, and his Dad were lucky enough to go to the Indy 500 today. They had amazing seats that we got from a friend that were luckily in the shade and on turn 1. Kade thought it was awesome but kept saying how loud it was! Brad and his Dad really enjoyed it and were glad they were able to go.
We decided that I would drop them off and pick them up at the race to avoid parking fees and stress for them, but little did we know how crazy it would be for me! The cops closed off a lot of the roads and I wasn't able to get anywhere near where the boys were waiting for me, they were only letting taxi cabs or news crews through. After an hour of driving in circles I finally got within an hour of them and they started walking toward me. They weren't walking too long before a super nice Jamaican taxi driver pulled over and offered them a ride for free to where I was. Brad told him not to worry, but the driver just said, "Oh no man, you have your son and your Dad with you, you've got three generations there! I'm a Dad, I know how it is, just get in I will take you to your wife!" And he did! It made the miserable past hour not so bad. I love nice people!

Friends, Grandpa and Grandma Judy

Kade got to spend the day with his friend Jaxson and they had a blast playing with toys and going to the park. Brad was the coolest swing pusher apparently because no one wanted me to push them, they only wanted Brad!
This evening Grandpa and Grandma Judy drove into town. We are excited to spend a few days playing with them!

The Bestest Most Beautiful Day Ever!

The kids and I had a free morning and since we have family coming in to town this weekend I really should have gone grocery shopping, but the weather was so nice I couldn't pass up a trip to the zoo! It ended up being extremely crazy and crowded there so we headed over to the butterfly gardens to enjoy some peace :)
After we got home we got to watch a snuggle cutle little 3 month old Jacob, then that afternoon we ended up outside playing on the porch and eating otter pops with friends. After that we played at the park as a family and then went out on a family date. As Kade kept saying, it really was "the bestest most beautiful day ever!"
