New Years Eve

We had a fun New Years Eve celebration with the kids. We ate some yummy fondue for dinner and watched a fun new movie! We had a blast!

Chuck E. Cheese

Today we put away all of our Christmas decorations and cleaned the house. Yay! it needed to be cleaned. But we felt bad for the kids, because they were pretty bored most of the day so we took them out to Chuck E. Cheese for dinner and family home evening. It was their first time ever going there and they loved it! Tenley loved the mouse and Kade loved all of the games. We were glad to take the kids out and do something fun with them!

Necklaces, Kyle and Hailey

Brad was sweet enough and thoughtful enough to get Tenley and I matching necklaces for Christmas this year. We love them!

We had such a fun week in Chicago with the Haddons and Kyle and Hailey. Kyle and Hailey were so nice to let us stay with them and to spoil us while we were there. Can't wait to see them again!

Chicago-Style Pizza

We went and had my favorite chicago-style pizza today at Lou Malnati's. I love their salad and I LOVE their pizza. It was a yummy lunch. Afterward, Dad Hobson had to fly home. It was nice to be able to spend Christmas with him and we are excited for the next time we see him!

Snowball Fights, Shopping

Today Hailey, Tenley, and I went shopping since my mom was sweet enough to send me some money! It was a lot of fun having Tenley with us. After we'd try something on she'd say, "Oooo! I love it!" She is adorable!

The boys had fun playing out in the snow today and having a snowball fight!

Christmas

Christmas morning is the best and all the little kids were so excited to come up and see their presents. Kade and Tenley were a little confused at first as to what was for them, but once they got it all figured out they loved it. They especially loved opening all the presents. 

We had some 3 different yummy traditional breakfasts, Hailey made her family's tradition of egg gravy on toast, I made mine of orange cinnamon rolls, and when we made it to the Haddons we had Grandpa Hobson's famous Christmas omelets and the Haddons made some delicious cinnamon roll pancakes. We ate very well and enjoyed spending the day with family.

Christmas Eve

Hailey and I spent most of the day preparing food and decorating the house for a wonderful and delicious Christmas Eve dinner with our families, the Haddons, and Grandpa Hobson. We had ham, funeral potatoes, raspberry pretzel salad, rolls, a caesar salad, and sparkling cider. It was such a nice evening! We had the kids act out the Nativity story after dinner and they did such a great job. I love Christmas Eve!

After the kids went to bed Hailey and I had a blast setting everything up for Christmas morning.

Family, Chicago, Frozen, Sweet Christmas Lights

We drove up to Chicago for the week to be with the Haddons, Kyle and Hailey, and Brad's Dad for Christmas. We have been having so much fun here so far and look forward to a great week!

Today we went and saw the movie Frozen and I loved it and then we went and saw a sweet Christmas lights show and someone's house. It was intense and Kade loved it. One of his favorite things to do this time of year is watch Christmas light show videos. This one is his favorite:
