Today was try hockey for free day and Ryder was SO excited. Brad took Kade and Ryder there while the rest of us went to a baptism for Tenley’s friend. The boys got there early to get geared up which takes a while. Then they headed out on the ice for their first time ever. Kade picked up on it pretty well since he knows how to rollerblade, but Ryder kept falling down for the first thirty minutes. But he kept smiling and he kept trying. He made a lot of improvement in just one hour. By the end he was staying on his feet and hitting the puck into the goal. He wants to play again tomorrow really bad. He keeps begging me. I might have to seriously look into putting him into hockey.

Popcorn
Tenley came with me to eat with the homeless in the family promise program. One of the ladies from the other church brought her son that’s Tenley’s age and they had so much fun playing together. It was a really great night there. Serving others always had a way of making you feel so good!
We came home to the boys eating popcorn. Little Luke ate a ton! Hopefully that means he’ll sleep well tonight!

My Sweet Angel Tenley
This week our congregation is assigned to help with the Family Promise organization and feed the Homeless. Brad and I have been asked to be there the rest of this week but Kade had a basketball game tonight and I knew we’d have to split up. Last night as I was talking to Brad about how I was sad to have to go alone with a lot of strangers, Tenley piped and said, “I’ll go with you Mom!” It was the sweetest offer and the perfect plan! She and I had a great time tonight meeting new people and serving others. She made the night so much better! She has a heart of gold.
It has been a dream of mine to stand in my kitchen and ask my amazon Alexa device to ‘play music by Tiffany Hobson.’ Today that dream became a reality! I submitted a single to see if it would actually get approved for streaming and it was! I was seriously skeptical about it being approved but I finally decided to just go for it and I’m so glad I did! I can not wait to continue to record, compose, and get more music streaming!
Don’t ever stop dreaming and don’t ever quit the pursuit of your dreams.

Independence
As we pulled up to my friends house for Ryder’s preschool group lesson he asked if I would let him go by himself ‘like Kade does.’ It was pretty cute to see him wanting to be so independent. He loves getting big!

Come Follow Me Chats
My amazing friend Becca started an Instagram account called comefollowmechats. Each days she posts a short lesson from the scripture study for that week. She includes her thoughts, stories, questions, and pictures that relate. Each morning I can read what she has outlined with my kids and we learn so much as we discuss it together. It has been really great and I’m so glad she’s doing it!

Piper
Our piano teacher got a new little puppy named Piper. She is the sweetest thing! We all loved having a chance to hold her. Luke wasn’t very good at being gentle but hopefully he’ll learn soon enough!

Reunited
Our boys came home today! We were so excited to see them but I think they may be a little bummed to be back to reality. They had such a great time. Kade told me tonight that it was the best weekend of his life. He was really really sad for it to be over. I’m so glad he had so much fun with Brad and I hope he remembers all the fun that they had for a long time.

Piano Recitals
Tenley had a recital this morning. She was having a hard time wanting to go without Kade. They always do these things together and Brad is always there to cheer her on as well and she really wanted them to be there. But she overcame her fears, put a smile on, and played beautifully as always. I was proud of her! It was a good recital.
We played games when we got home while Luke napped and then we went to Flippin Family Fun. I actually jumped with the kids which they were excited about. Luke had a blast!
Our boys in California seem to be doing well still. The park was a lot more crowded today but I think they’re still having fun. We can’t wait to see them tomorrow!

Parties with my Kids
It’s been nice to deliberately be trying to make the day a party for the kids. We’ve had so much fun! This morning after breakfast we decided to go swimming. With everyone else at school we had the place to ourselves. It was awesome and Luke really loved it as well. We spent three hours at the pool! And then Luke came home and slept for 3.5 hours. We wore him out! We went out for ice cream tonight as well. We’ve been missing our boys but have been trying not to think about it! We’ve been able to video chat with them a lot so it’s been nice to hear how they’re doing. They are loving the big thrill rides. The park is still doing fright night for Halloween though so they ended up leaving the park early because it was a little too scary for the kids. And I think those boys need some rest!

Halloween
For weeks Brad and I have been keeping a secret from the kids. He and Kade are headed on a super fun trip to California tonight to hang out at Six Flags with Kyle and Max. Kade had no idea. After school we brought them home and had them change into their Halloween costumes. Then we took them trick or treating at an RV Center that happens to be right by the airport. After that we drove to the airport and said goodbye. Kade was shocked but so excited. Tenley and Ryder were really upset and I feel awful. It's hard to give one child fun one on one time without the other ones getting jealous. I wish we could all have gone, but this is definitely a big boy trip. I will make sure we have a fun party together this weekend at home!
The three littles and I were able to do more trick or treating at our ward trunk or treat and around our neighborhood. They also loved passing out candy at home. We watched a movie and ate lots of candy. Now we're going to have a sleepover upstairs. We're having lots of fun!

My Girl
Tenley saved the day for me today! Kade left to ride his bike to his friends house and I forgot to shut the garage door for him. I realized later that it was open and Keena was out. Keena was no where close. Tenley and Ryder took his leash and ran out to find him while I stayed in with Luke. She said after a while of calling his name she decided to follow his paw prints in the snow. Just a few houses away he finally ran right up to her, sat when she asked him to, and she was able to leash him up and bring him home. Phew! I'm so grateful for my smart, helpful girl!

Gymnastics
I love watching Ryder at gymnastics. It helps me remember how much our bodies are capable of doing and how important it is to keep moving. He sure is an active little man and he loves to move his body!

My Parents
My parents drove home today in a horrible snow storm. The roads were terrible and I may have cried for an hour after they left, feeling sick to my stomach and worrying about their day ahead. I watched road cameras and tracked them all day. The roads in Montana were all terrible. They had low visibility and snow on them. After 10 hours on the road they finally made it home safely. I was so relieved and happy! They sacrificed a lot to be up here for Tenley’s baptism on their anniversary and I’m so grateful to them. I know my kids are as well. We really appreciated the extra one on one time that we had with them yesterday even though it did cause some stress today. Luckily my little boys helped to keep me distracted most of the day. My parents are amazing!

The Primary Program
The primary program was today at church. It was the perfect Sunday for both sets of grandparents to be in town! They all sang well and Ryder did a great job on his speaking part. It was fun to watch all of them!
It was sad to say goodbye to Jason and his family, Danny, and George and Judy. Ryder was especially bored with Yesul gone. After church he fell asleep and took a long nap. He was really worn out!
We had a really nice afternoon and evening with my parents still here. My kids showed them all of their favorite shows that they like to watch each Sunday. It was nice to relax!
