Although the kids probably would have preferred a ton of snow today so they could try out their new sled, the weather was beautiful so we went for a walk and played at the park. It was nice to get out and enjoy the sun!

Christmas Day
Christmas day was a lot of fun! The kids luckily slept in until 8 and then saw their gifts from Santa. Then we enjoyed a nice big brunch and then opened up presents from each other. We played games, played with our new toys, watched a movie, and relaxed together. It was great!

Sugar Cookies, Christmas Eve, Christmas Feast
We kept ourselves really busy in the kitchen today! We made sugar cookies for Santa, Brad's family's traditional fruit cocktail, and a big turkey feast for dinner. It all turned out so delicious!
After dinner the kids opened their Christmas Eve pajamas and we drove around town looking at Christmas lights. It was a fun night!

Christmas in Indy, Zoo Lights
Brad found out about a movie theater showing Polar Express for free so we decided to go watch it. I thought it was pretty funny to see a cardboard sign with duct tape when we pulled up! But the theater was actually pretty nice and we all loved watching a Polar Express!
Tonight we saw the lights at the zoo! It was so pretty and we loved seeing the animals as well. Our zoo pass expires at the end of the month and we will definitely miss it!
We've had a fun week enjoying everything that Indy has to offer in Christmas. We've loved surprising the kids everyday with something new. Big cities are a lot of fun!
The Museum
We spent the afternoon at the museum so we could enjoy Jolly Days one more time this year. Racing down the slide never gets old.

Christmas Music
Today was such an amazing day. I was able to go Christmas caroling with some friends from church at a cancer center. It was so much fun to sing Christmas carols and even more amazing to see the big smiles from the cancer patients as we walked by their rooms singing. They are strong people and it was a privilege to sing to them.
Tonight we took the kids to a little Christmas concert. It was a lot of fun and the kids really enjoyed.
I love Christmas music so much. It really helps bring the spirit of Christmas into our lives.

The Park
Brad has a lot of time off from school this week so our schedule is quickly fillng up with fun things! Today we spent the afternoon at an indoor playground at a Christian church up north. Brad and I got a great workout playing tag with the kids in the play area. We all had a blast and the kids were so worn out that they fell asleep on the way home.

Luck
I've been worried about fitting 3 car seats into our little car, but I tried it out today and it works out OK! I'm so grateful because it is just not the right time for us to buy a newer, nicer, bigger, car so this will do for now!

The Gift
I love this video so much! I can't help but cry every time I see it. We have all been given an amazing gift, our Savior Jesus Christ. He came to Earth and lived a perfect life as an example for us all to follow. He came to Earth and suffered and died for us so we can all live again. And He now lives again and is always there ready to cleanse us, heal us, restore us, identify with us, strengthen us, and transform us. I love my Savior and I love the Christmas season where we're able to reflect on the life of our Savior.

Dinner/Breakfast with Santa
The kids have been looking forward to this weekend for a long time! Friday night we had our church Christmas party and they were able to see Santa after dinner. Then this morning they got to have breakfast with Santa at the mall and get a bunch of fun prizes! Kade noticed that the Santas looked a little bit different and he asked Brad why. Brad just said, "There's one for dinner and one for breakfast!" Luckily Kade accepted that answer!

Teamwork
This week has been pretty exhausting. Tenley wouldn't sleep Tuesday night and kept complaining that her stomach hurt. She eventually threw up and cuddled with either Brad or me for the next whole day. She usually isn't a cuddler, so it was nice to snuggle her so much, but I felt bad that she felt so horrible. The next day Kade caught the bug too and threw up a few times. I was so grateful that Brad was home a lot from school. He was so helpful cleaning up throw up messes, changing bed sheets, giving baths, and snuggling the sick little kids. Luckily they are feeling much better today!
