I had to get my tires rotated this morning and then the kids had swim lessons so instead of heading home we found a park and did school there. It was fun to change up the scenery and enjoy the sunshine! And they loved running around on the grass.

Hymns
For our fifth Sunday meeting today we sang some of the new hymns. I love hymns SO much. I loved singing them with everyone. They are beautiful, they teach the gospel, and they filled the meeting with the spirit.

Volleyball
Both Varsity and JV volleyball teams won their games again this morning! The varsity team is undefeated. They are a lot of fun to watch. After the games I took Tenley shopping for her birthday which she loved and then we had to get lunch before we headed back in the road for home. It was such a fun girls trip!

Girl Trips
Tenley had volleyball games in Bozeman tonight and she has a game here tomorrow as well so since the boys were so busy with their own sports at home just she and I took the trip to Bozeman. I had fun watching her team win and then we watched a close match for the varsity team but they won as well! Then we went to Qdoba for dinner and Sweet Peaks for dessert! It was delicious.
Kade had a team dinner tonight and Ryder and Luke had a party at a friends house as well. They were out past their bedtime even! They all had a great night.

Temple Trips
I got to go to the temple this morning with the ladies I serve with in Relief Society. It was a beautiful drive and it felt so nice to be at the temple. The spirit is amazing there!
When I got home it was time for Kade’s soccer game! He played keeper in the first half and then came in as a forward in the second half for a little bit. He really loves to play.
Then we had to split up. Brad took Luke to his football game and Tenley and I drove to Cascade for her volleyball game. They both played well at their games as well! It’s so much fun to see them enjoy it!

Surprises
I picked up Kade from the high school at midnight last night and on the way home I noticed the northern lights in the sky! It was beautiful. I love surprises like that.
Brad called this morning and had openings for the kids at his office for teeth cleanings. We had a squeeze it into our day but it worked out. I’m not super thrilled with surprises like that. But the kids did need cleanings! So it was probably for the best.

Teams
We had co op again today. My kids love it so much which makes me happy. But teaching the 1st and 2nd graders is not easy. We have a lot of different personalities and they’re all hard in their own way. Even Luke! But I have two other really amazing team teachers that I work with and they make it worth it. They are so great.
Tenley had a game in Helena tonight. And Kade has been in Billings all day for his soccer games and then Luke had football practice here. Kade played keeper the whole game and held them to two goals which was pretty great. Then he got free Chik Fil A and got to watch The Princess Bride on his way home. I think he had a good day!
Tenley played so well too! She had four aces in a row in the first set and then on the last set she was serving and took the team from down 12-10 to win the game 12-15!

Motherhood
Today was a day of progress for my kids and I really love seeing them progress. Ryder sat down and did a lot of his school work independently. Luke reads his whole book out loud to me now instead of begging me to read a page for him so he can take a break. And Luke was a swimming machine at lessons today! He just took off on the freestyle stroke. Ryder was learning backstroke today and making good progress with that as well. Ryder also played well at his flag football game. Tenley was landing front flips and back flips at ninja class on the tramp. I just love that I get to see their hard work pay off! Kade is sure missed all day but he’s so mature and on top of getting his work done, taking care of his lunch, and getting to bed on time. Being a mom is the best!

Joy
Tithing settlement for Brad has begun so we don’t get to see much of him on Sunday. My kids are pretty good though and we did what we could to make the best of Sunday anyway. Kade even went outside to play catch with Ryder because Ryder had been begging to. These kids bring me joy!

Sports
Tenley had a volleyball game this morning and I got to sell the tickets for it. The boys helped me by giving stamps to the people and to themselves! Luke was covered! Tenley’s team won in 3 games. They played well. Kade was gone in Bozeman for his soccer games. They lost pretty badly but it was a sunny and beautiful so he enjoyed the weather at least! We also watched the BYU game tonight which was an amazing game! Sports are fun!
Brad got to go to a church leadership conference in Missoula today with Elder Kearon. He really enjoyed it and learned a lot. He mainly taught about having joy. Tenley also had a fireside with Elder Keaton tonight and she noticed how much he smiled. He’s a happy man! And it is contagious.

Home
I said goodbye to my friends today and headed home. They always inspire me and uplift me so I’m always grateful for my time with them! But I about cried to see my kids and husband again! I love them SO much! I’m grateful for all they did to make it possible for me to leave for a few days. I know it wasn’t easy. They’re the best and I’m grateful to be safely home with them and mostly recovered from the hike!

Leavenworth
We slept in this morning and did some yoga to help stretch our tired and sore bodies. I should have stretched more during the hike yesterday. It was nice to get some rest and movement in and once we were ready we headed to explore Leavenworth. It’s such an adorable little town! We found delicious food, yummy ice cream, and great shopping. It’s been so much fun to connect with my friends again and laugh about old times. I love adventuring with these girls!

The Enchantments
The hike today was incredible. We started at the trailhead at 6:30 am and got back to the car around 9:30 pm. It was a long day but the mountain lakes were gorgeous. It didn’t take long to arrive at the first beautiful lake and then Jenn and Ashley pointed out Aasgard pass to me and I realized we were in for a challenge. You circle around the lake and then head straight up the side of the mountain! It was exhilarating though and the views kept getting better and better. It was amazing and it felt so good to make it to the top! We ate lunch at another lake at the top of the mountain and then kept hiking around several more lakes. We also some mountain goats. I can totally understand why they call it the Enchantments. It looks like a beautiful story book! At one of the beautiful lakes we put on our swimsuits and went for a polar plunge in the 50 degree water. It felt invigorating. 20 miles of hiking made for a long day but it was really just the last two miles where Abby and I started hurting. Our feet were tired! But we were so happy to have done it and would definitely do it again. We spent some time in the hot tub tonight before crashing in bed.
