Sports and General Conference

Ryder and Luke had football games this morning and Kade had soccer games in Kalispell so we had to split up. Brad and Kade drove up to Kalispell and got soaking wet from the rain. The rest of stayed here and although we were cold, luckily we weren’t wet. All the boys played so well at their games. Ryder and Luke both played quarterback for a bit and had some good plays! It’s really fun to watch them.

Tenley watched conference with me which was nice and she etched Brad’s cup so it says “Dad” on it now. It was sweet of her.

Walks with Luke

Luke decided to join Keena and me on our morning walk today. He even held the leash and walked him. It was adorable. Luke really loves Keena and he thinks it’s pretty special that they’re the same age. The mornings are getting chilly around here! We had to pull out our gloves and hats!

Brad took Kade fly fishing on the Missouri River today. It was a beautiful day and the fishing was great! Kade had so much fun!

Pictures

I think all these pictures pretty much sum up our beautiful, sunny fall day. Co op, new glasses for Tenley, football, and pretty sunsets.

Science Projects

The kids have a subscription to Kiwi Co do they get cool new projects to do every month. They came in the mail yesterday so Ryder worked hard on his project today and finished building his own lava lamp. It looks really cool! Ryder also had a football game and played quarterback and running back. He had a lot of fun.

Warm Weather

Warm weather has come back to us for a few days and I love it! I sat on the grass enjoying the sun while Luke had football practice today. It felt amazing.
School went well today. Luke and Ryder made a breakfast shake by themselves. It’s good to see them getting more independent. We had a great discussion about faith, what it is, and how to strengthen it. They always have such great comments. Reading scriptures with my kids every morning is precious and I love that we get to do that. It doesn’t even take long. I don’t know why I never made time for it before.

Butte

We all went to Butte together to watch Kade’s soccer games! We had to leave early which made for a pretty morning drive. Kade played great, it was sunny and warm for fall and we had fun cheering him on! In between his games we found a fun park for a picnic with goal posts. The kids had fun trying to make a field goal. Brad and Kade were the only ones who could kick it through the goal posts. We stopped in Helena on the way home for a Costco run and dinner. It was a fun family day.

Fall

It was a beautiful, overcast, fall day today. I wore a sweater, read books and played games with the kids, Tenley made pumpkin chocolate chip cookies, and I made chicken noodle soup for dinner. I loved it. And Brad worked hard winterizing the boat. I’m sad summer is over but I’m also loving fall!

The End of the Day

Today was filled with piano lessons, lots of reading (Tenley has gotten into a series and I’m reading a dragon book to the little boys), more tennis at actual tennis courts this time, and the boys playing soccer in the backyard. It’s chaotic to have the kids with me all day, but thinking back on the day now, it was perfect.

Soccer Breaks

The kids have found great ways to entertain themselves when they take breaks from school. They love playing soccer together although last night it didn’t get a bit too competitive. And they also love to have nerf gun wars in the basement. Im glad they’re still enjoying being together!

Flag Football

Luke had his first flag football practice tonight! He was so excited and he had so much fun. It’s pretty cute to watch all the little guys run around. They’re doing a great job so far!

The Primary Program

My sweet boys were in the primary program today at church! They were so adorable! It’s always my favorite Sunday to hear their sweet singing voices and listen to them share pure and simple testimony. I love these boys!

We spent the morning catching up on college football games from last night. Kade and Tenley love sports. It’s fun to watch these games with them.

Sandy

Tenley watched a friends dog for the past week and we all fell in love with her. She is such a sweetheart. She and Keena seemed to get along pretty well and the little boys really loved playing fetch with her. She got picked up by her family today and we will miss her!

Boating in September

Today may have been our last day on the boat this year but we were so grateful to be able to go out one more time. Kade and Tenley actually got in the water and skied! Ryder was also brave enough to jump in. It was sunny and a great day!
We had to get off the lake a little earlier than normal. One of Brad’s employees got married today and we went to her celebration up in the canyon. It was beautiful!

Tennis

The kids had so much fun watching the US Open over the weekend that they begged me to play tennis today. We ended up at some pickle ball courts but we still had a great time playing! Luke was getting pretty good at serving the ball near the end. They all seemed to have a lot of fun!
