Kind Strangers

We had a long travel day today! We made it to San Diego at 10:30 PM our time and finally got the kids in to bed by 11:30. They were exhausted! Hopefully they sleep in because we’ll need the energy for our fun week!
We couldn’t have made it through this crazy day (what were we thinking traveling with a baby?!) without some really kind people. Well, I guess technically we would have made it through just fine, but it wouldn’t have been as enjoyable! The first instance was when a business man traveling alone noticed Tenley tote her suitcase all the way to the plane by herself so he gave her a chocolate bar on the plane. She quickly colored him a Snow White picture to say thank you. Definitely a fair trade! haha
On each flight one of us had to sit by a stranger and I took that turn from Montana to Seattle. I sat by a labor and delivery nurse who is finishing up residency in Montana. She loves babies so she was so nice and helpful with Luke! And Luke loved her.
In the Seattle airport an older lady stopped me to give me some paw patrol toys for Ryder because she thought her grandson already had some. Ryder felt so special!
On the fight from San Diego to Seattle Tenley sat between a stranger and me. She was nervous about it but the stranger was really kind and Tenley loved talking to her about fun things to do in San Diego.
The travel day was definitely too late for our little boys. Luke was crying on our last flight for 20 minutes and never fell asleep until we were off the fight. Ryder was inpatient and was also really tired and ornery by the end. I’m sure hoping these next several days make the traveling worth it! The kind stranger definitely helped!
