Baseball Season

Kade had his first baseball game tonight! I love, love, love baseball and I'm so excited to have so many games to look forward to watching this month in the midst of packing. It's bringing back memories of two years ago when we packed during his first T-ball season. Two years has gone by so fast it seems. 

Brad is one of the coaches on Kade's team and they all did such a great job tonight! Kade scored twice and he had some good hits! He also got to play catcher, 1st base, and 3rd base. 1st base was his favorite position.

Two Front Teeth

About three years ago Tenley had to have one of her front teeth pulled due to some trauma from a fall. Ever since then she's been our cute little Jack-O-Lantern. But now her permanent tooth is just about all the way in! So for dinner tonight we had her favorite, corn on the cob. It was a lot easier for her to eat with both of her front teeth!

Memorial Day

It was so nice to have Kade home from school today! We went for a bike ride, visited the cemetery, had a great lesson from Kade on prayer, went out to eat at a yummy pizza restaurant, and saw a baseball game. The NAIA World Series is going on right now here in our town and it was really fun to go to the game for a little bit. Our kids were a little too young to sit through the whole thing, but luckily there were some fun things for the kids to do during the game. It was a great day!

Sunday

It's been such a great weekend and knowing that we have another vacation day tomorrow made today that much better. Kade's pretty excited to sleep in and not have to go to school. I'm excited to sleep in as well! I'm pretty tired right now, so instead of thinking of cute things to say, I'll just post a few cute pictures from today. :)

Afternoons with Dad

Our friends left this morning. It was so fun to have them here! We had a great weekend with them.
After they left, Brad had Kade and Tenley help him build a potato gun. They had to go buy some supplies from Home Depot and drinks from Sonic to make it all work. :) Then we all went to play catch and help Kade practice hitting. He's getting really good at baseball. I'm excited for his games to start!

Date Night

We had a lot of fun with our friends today. Becca and I got to go for a run together today and Brad and Landon were able to go golfing. The kids played non-stop with toys, jumping on the tramp and running around outside. This morning it was cute to watch Ty and Ryder play basketball together.
For lunch, Becca and I picked up happy meals for the kids and took them to a park. It was a beautiful day! Then this evening we went out on a double date for yummy Thai food and ice cream. We stayed up late talking and playing games. We love having time with the Woolfs!

Visiting Friends

Our friends came to visit us this weekend and we're so excited and happy to have them here! The kids have been looking forward to it for a while now and they've had a blast together so far. Next month they'll be moving much farther away and so will we, so I'm grateful for this time to hang out with them before all the crazy changes!

Busy Days

Today wasn't a typical 'mom' day for me which was a welcome break from a normal routine. We still did a lot of cleaning in the morning like we normally do on Wednesday, and then Ryder got to have a friend over for a little bit. They played together pretty well!
Brad surprised me and invited me and the kids to meet him for lunch during his lunch break. We got to sit on the outside patio at the restaurant and the kids were able to feed the fish in the pond! It was so fun.
This evening was a baseball clinic for kids at the college with the teams playing in the NAIA World Series. Kade was really excited about it and he had a blast playing with the college players and seeing a lot of his friends from school. Tenley, Ryder and I played catch while we waited for Kade and Tenley was getting really good at catching the ball with her mit! She's my sporty girl!

My Little Boys

We had to go to the grocery store today and Tenley and Ryder are usually pretty good for me. They love when I get the extra big cart that can strap in three children. And they love getting stickers. For some reason Ryder puts them all over his face the minute he get them. So silly.

Ryder played with the train track most of the day. It was the first time I've seen him build new tracks on his own. He made a lot of fun train noises and was having a blast playing by himself. It was cute.

Tonight, since Brad was at an activity for church, Kade read the scriptures for us while I got Ryder in his pajamas. Kade has become such an amazing reader. He cruises through books and everyday at school he goes into the library to check out more. He loves series books. His favorites right now are; The Magic Tree House and Who Would Win?. When his librarian at school found out that Kade would be moving she asked him, "Who will read all my books then?" I love how much he loves to read. His sweet voice reading the scriptures tonight made me so happy.

Sunny Days

The weather was beautiful today. I put some sunscreen on Kade and Tenley and we walked to the park to play. We were the only ones there and I enjoyed having time with them outside. I love this weather!

Dishwashers

My sweet kids did the dishes for me tonight after dinner and it was awesome! They were happy to help as well which made it even better!

Roosters

Big news post: we are moving to Montana next month!! Brad bought a practice there and he'll be starting work there at the end of the summer. We are really excited about our big move and the new adventures that await, but there are a lot of things we'll miss about Idaho. We're going to miss family, friends, the river, the bike trail, and lots more. There are also some yummy restaurants we won't have in Montana, so Kade asked to go to Roosters tonight one last time. It was a nice, sunny evening so we even got to eat outside right by the river. It was beautiful!

This morning we took the kids to the track to run around. I've been wanting to see Kade run a mile. He's been telling us that he runs it at school and his current record is 8:10! Brad and I wanted to race him to see if we could beat his time. If Kade hadn't eaten so many waffles this morning he probably could have beat his own time, but he ran it around 9 minutes today instead. Which was still impressive! It was fun to run together. 

Sibling Battles

We spent a lot of time on the trampoline again this afternoon. It's hard to keep the kids inside when it's such nice weather! Ryder especially loves being outside on the tramp as long as someone is with him. Kade and Tenley were wrestling a lot on the tramp and I was impressed with Tenley's skills! She was pretty aggressive, but I like that she'll stick up for herself. They both had fun luckily and there was no major incident! Phew!

Broken Ovens

As I was about to make dinner tonight, I turned the oven on only to find that it wouldn't light. I was bummed for minute, but Brad said he'd be home soon to help me fix it, so I went outside with the kids to jump on the tramp instead! And it was so much more fun than making dinner.
I decided to take Ryder's pacifiers away from him. He's just to big too have them anymore. He is really mad about it and didn't nap at all. So, some tickles and laughs on the tramp with him this evening made my heart so happy.

Chocolate Covered Strawberries

It's been a long day. I guess it all started when we bought a house! We're super excited about it, but the house is under construction and I've been picking out the finishes. It sounded like a lot of fun at first, but it is extremely difficult! I hope it all comes together just fine.
Brad came home with chocolate covered strawberries in his hands and that made everything better for a minute. They're my favorite.

Celebrations

Since Kade has a Summer birthday his teacher let him have a birthday celebration today so he could celebrate with his class. We took the class cupcakes and he wore a special hat. He loved it!
And, since we were gone on Mother's Day the kids gave me my present today. A cute 'mama bear' shirt. I love it. They also gave me cute cards and Kade made me an art project at school. I feel so loved!
