Walks and Google Chat

It has been cool and rainy these past few days here in Utah and the kids and I have missed being outside, but today it was nice enough to go for a little walk!
We love going for walks. It is the perfect little activity to do when we only have 30 minutes or so before lunch time, dinner time, or nap time.
This morning we walked to a little park and the kids were very disappointed to see that it wasn't open. We'll have to try a different park tomorrow!

This afternoon the kids and I got to chat with Brad a little bit through Google Chat.
I love technology! It is so awesome to me that even though he is thousands of miles away from us we can still see him "in person" and talk to him. We miss him so much!
Tomorrow morning he will take his last final as a 2nd year dental student! And then in just a few weeks he will be doing work on actual patients. It is so exciting!
I'm so proud of him for all of his hard work! This past semester has been a killer. He had to take boards and he's a had a lot of projects and tests as well. He has been so busy and we are grateful that he'll have a little break with us soon.

High School Friends

Tonight my sweet parents watched my kids for me so I could go out with my friends from high school. I haven't seen some of them for over 7 years! It was so good to see them, catch up, and remember some good times from high school.

In a few months I will be missing our 10 year  high school reunion party.
It is crazy to see/hear where everyone is now in life.
I love hearing of people who have gone on to fulfill their childhood dreams or who have done great things with their lives and married great people and have had adorable children.
It makes me sad to hear of people who's life hasn't turned out quite as they planned and I hope they are able to work things out and still take time to make their life great.
I'm so grateful for the great friends that I had in high school who affected my life for the better and who made me who I am.
Sometimes I look back with regret on certain decision or choices that I made, but I'm realizing that I wouldn't be who I am without having made those choices.
Those choices led me to marry my amazing, sweet, wonderful husband and together we've had almost 8 great years of marriage together, experienced a lot of highs and a few lows, and had two cute, adorable children that we love so much. We've helped and are helping each other fulfill our own childhood dreams and together we'll help our children achieve their dreams.
Nothing in my life has been more fulfilling to me then watching my children learn and grow and seeing them develop into little human beings. I'm excited to see where their lives take them and I hope and pray that they also have wonderful friends who touch their lives for the better.

Real Cafe Rio and Zombie Tag

Tonight my parents took me to Cafe Rio for dinner.
It tastes so much better than the stuff I try to make at home.
It was so delicious!
We got to eat it with Jason and Jihye and their cool new apartment in downtown Salt Lake City.
It was a fun night.

I also came across these awesome pictures today that my brother took.

Kade's cousin introduced him to a new game the other day called zombie tag. One person starts out as the zombie and they run around and tag others so that they become zombies too.
Brad had a fun time getting into it and jumping over Kade so he could never get tagged.
Kade loves it and requests to play it all the time now.

Fry Sauce and Trains

Today my parents took all their grandkids on a ride on the Heber Creeper. They had a "Meet Thomas" day and Kade was so excited to actually be able to ride Thomas the train!
We all had a lot of fun.
Afterward, we went to the yummiest burger place I've been to. It's called Dairy Keen and it is a local restaurant in Midway, UT. And since we're in Utah, they had plenty of fry sauce! It was so delicious!
I feel bad that Kade has grown up on ketchup, he didn't even like the fry sauce! Hopefully that changes!

S'mores

We had the yummiest s'mores tonight on my Dad's nice outdoor fireplace.
The best part was that I didn't even smell like campfire afterward!
Did I mention that they were so yummy?
I love s'mores.

Weddings

We've had such a great weekend here in Utah for my brother's wedding. I got to meet his adorable fiance for the first time on their wedding eve and I loved her instantly.
I've never seen Jason so happy and in love and I'm just so happy for the both of them. I can't wait to get to know her more.

Here are most of the pictures of what we've been up to the past few days. We've been having so much fun!
